PETCO SW SUCKS!!!!! Do NOT BUY a Fish unless you just like WASTING MONEY 12/30/2010

The Saltwater Fish are horrible anything I ever buy from here dies within a wk. We bought a anemone from here went back the same night and said asked about the foot and the guy Ryan said it was normal? Well it died 2 days later 40 bucks down the drain. We also purchased another anemone the same night it died today.. I bought a puffer and it had ick when we bought it and they denied it. Well that also died (this is when we first started into SW) I have called the main office and have reported this to everyone I needed to. So if you want a fish for SW go elsewhere sucks that as big as Rockwall is there isn't another SW store for people to go to. I will never WASTE my MONEY there. They also have a Eel that has been there for a month in a little cage inside a tank with algae growing all over it. Yes Eel's are escape artist BUT why ORDER it if you cant sell it? To me I think it is animal CRUELTY to make that Eel stay in that little cage!!!! more

Will never shop here again. 7/30/2010

I had fish growing up, and had promised my 6 year old son that if he had made the A honor roll for an entire school year, I would buy him a fishtank. After he had worked very hard all semester and had made the A honor roll, I took him to Petco to buy a fishtank and a few fish. Since I had fish growing up, I knew how to care for them and usually had no problems. I had treated the water, and the next day placed the fish in the tank, but something had happened and they all died within 2 weeks. I took the last fish that had passed back to Petco in a container with water from the tank, and told the manager what had happened. She had told me she needed another water sample or she could sell me no more fish, but I had already dumped the tank and since I live a ways from the store of course I could not provide another one from the tank or my tap. This was an unreasonable request due to the circumstances, and I told her that. She said she could not help me, and would not allow me to purchase more

Best Pet Store 6/3/2005

This pet store has everthing you need for your pets, and the people that work there seem very helpful too. There is plenty of parking all out in front of the store. They also have the instore grooming there. I go here offen for alot of hard to find things and, they always have them.. more

Good selection, high prices 5/26/2005

Petco has a good selection of items, and often has the item that you can't find in other places. However, their prices are usually too high compared to their competitors. But, I know if I can't find it anywhere else, Petco will have it. Their employees usually aren't very knowledgeable about the products or pets though. more
