Puppy School was a huge success! Chelsea is the dog trainer there and the dogs just take to her. She was so great with my puppy and so nice and helpful to me. And what a difference her help made! My puppy has come such a long way ... house training almost there, leash training in great shape, sit, stand, down, crawl, shake, stay, and most importantly 'leave it' .... the dog responded brilliantly. more

Save your $...Go to Petsmart 9/2/2012

Traveled several hours to Petco to get some supplies for our two new kitties. On arrival noticed prices where extremely more expensive in the store than online. Example is a bag of Purena Kitten Chow is $12.99 on the website and they were selling it for 18.99. I asked the the clerk who then asked the manager if they could sell for the internet price and manager was extremely rude and made it a big NO. At that point I noticed several other items we had prices for on the internet were more expensive. We then decided to leave and went to Petsmart up the road. I will say I'm glad we did. The store is so much more cleaner and better atmosphere. Not only that their prices were amazingly cheaper. Same brand and model cat carrier that was $51 at Petco was $34.99. Toys for cats also much much cheaper. Arm and Hammer brand litter was $19.99 at Petco and it normal price was 12.99 and on sale for $10.99. AMAZING...... Stay away from Petco in most areas esp. concord NH 3/1/2009

Glad to hear you feel they take care of their fish. I think Petco sucks and everyone should avoid buying any fish there. Their employees have no glue on what they say or sell, many fish dead in the tanks for hours before removed. I witness this. Most of the fish are sick with Ick or sold very expensive. Trust me, they are terrible, stay away. more

Loads of dog food choices 7/15/2005

I shop at this store soley for dog food as my dogs get only the best LOL. So I drive 20 miles to go to this store but by driving I save 7.00 a bag on the dog food. I have purchased very few other items from this store with the exception of from their online catalog, which is cheaper than the store. The other good deal on dog food at Pet Co is if you buy 10 bags in a year you get one free. As for service well good luck getting any at this store. They always seem to be under staffed and the available staff is not very helpful. There is always a long line at the check out and the cashiers are wicked slow. more

Just "okay" 7/2/2005

Decent selection of leashes, collars, toys, and doggy seat belts. Wouldn't feed any of the food to my dogs- its your basic chain crap. They do carry a big selection of Mother Hubbard Treats, the same company as Wellness, that I'm happy to give my dogs. Plus, they go nuts over them. Staff is hit or miss- some know what they're talking about, others don't even know what products they carry. PROS: Better hours than independents CONS: Inferior product selection and limited staff knowledge than indeps. more
