Good: Clean Store, helpful staff. Bad: The adoption process at this store is HORRIBLE! I completed 3 detailed pages to adopt a little kitten, had my 6 you twins with me. The cat purred as I held him and then the adoption rep went and called the kittens owner who asked the adoption rep to take me and my daughter's into a back room to see how the kitten does with us. The kitten was afraid in an unfamiliar room; the rep called the owner again, privately, came back out to us and said sorry, the owner does not want us to adopt the kitten!. Improvements: I WILL NEVER SHOP OR ADOPT FROM THIS STORE AGAIN. THIS WAS AN EXPERIENCE LIKE NO OTHER - WE ARE AN ANIMAL LOVING FAMILY AND CANNOT BELIEVE THIS PROCESS EVEN EXISTS! THE OTHER STORE WHO WE WOUND UP ADOPTING FROM SAID THE "PET OWNERS" SHOULD NOT EVEN BE INVOLVED IN THE PROCESS; THEY ARE NOT THERE - AS THEY HAND OVER THE ANIMALS FOR THE ADOPTION PEOPLE TO MAKE THE DECISION. I DO A TON OF SHOPPING AT THIS STORE AND GOING FORWARD I WILL TAKE MY BUSINESS TO THE LANCASTER OR EAST SIDE STORE. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!. Other: This was on 11/6 (sat). I went home so upset, my Girls were more upset than I. I live off of Pearblossom and our elderly cat passed away about 6 months ago and we thought it would be time for a new kitten in our home (for the family as well as my other cat who is 1.5 yo now). We went back out to the Lancaster Shelter where all the cats looked a bit sickly. Then we went to the Lancaster Petsmart and adopted a beautiful kitten in about 30 min... She is a love and is thriving in our loving home with all!.
