I took my dog to Dr. Brown for the first time about 8 months ago for a check up. I wanted to find a good vet to take our animals to and wasn't crazy about the other two vets that I had tried before with our other animals. He was great with our dog on that visit. This week our dog had what looked to be a bite, but it didn't seem infected and it didn't bother him when I was touching it trying to find out what was going on. He also had an injury on his foot. I took him in and the place was very busy and short staffed. I thought I would have to wait-emergencies happen. I was seen earlier than my scheduled time. The vet discovered that the lump on the side of our dog was a parasite(a worm!)-made a small incision and pulled it out-(YUCK) and said that would heal-it has already. He also discovered that our dog had broke off his back toe nail. He said the nail would grow out, keep him inside. As opposed to having a surgery and removing the nail and returning every 4-5 days to have the dressing changed. He also added that it would be very painful. He gave him antibiotics, a shot of antibiotics and some spray for his nail to prevent infection, inflammation and numb it a bit to make him more comfortable. Our dog is now doing great. This just happened yesterday! The charge with meds-$150.00-VERY REASONABLE. a GREAT VET. HE HANDLED OUR DOG VERY WELL-gently and kept talking to him-Since he was scared and in pain-he got a bit snappy, requiring a muzzle.
Pros: Experience vets, great with patients, reasonablercharges
Cons: None during my two visits
