Just had a HORRIBLE Experience at the PET RESORT across from Searstown Mall in Titusville. A friend had taken her dog there and didn't have a problem that she was aware of so I took my 10 year old Boxer, Therapy dog there for a 5 day stay... When I went to pick up my dog this morning the first thing the lady told me was that she snapped at another dog the first day and because of that she had been placed in isolation for the entire 5 days! Now my dog, Laila, has been a therapy dog for 9 years - she constantly interacts with other dogs and people at Joe's Place and nursing homes and has NEVER had a problem. All of a sudden she is pegged as an aggressive dog and placed in a dark cell for 5 days.for which they added $5 a day to my bill. I could go on about her mistreatment but just be very careful about this place. Their brochure describes the facility as having suites - these are dark cages across from each other in a narrow hallway. That is called a ""suite"". Anything but!!! My dog looked like she had lost 10 pounds and her hair was falling out by the handfuls. I believe that she has been through hell while I was gone! I told the owner - Ed - that I would give him an extra $100 if when he put her with any number of other dogs there if she showed any aggression or as much as growled. He declined my offer! I know how I feel about my dog and if you feel the same way about yours, I would be very hesitant to take my dog there. At least check the place out before you take your pet there - it in no way matches the description in their brochure!!! BEWARE!!!!!!
