A puppy mill is a large-scale commercial dog breeding operation where profit is given priority over the well-being of the dogs. Unlike responsible breeders, who place the utmost importance on producing the healthiest puppies possible, breeding at puppy mills is performed without consideration of genetic quality. This results in generations of dogs with unchecked hereditary defects. Puppy mill puppies are typically sold to pet shops—usually through a broker, or middleman—and marketed as young as eight weeks of age. You know this really is a great place, I have now purchased two puppies from this store and everything checked out every time. This store is a hidden gem. They need to be given credit for all the hard work they do. The have been honest and upfront in answering any questions I have had. With every puppy comes everything on the puppy, all the breeders information and I was left with no questions or concerns they were hiding anything. This is why I went back here for a second puppy. My twin girls love these puppies and they have become a part of our family. There is good and bad in everything now and I know all pet stores get a bad wrap and everyone is out there trying to stop puppy mills and I will not support puppy mills either but this store does not buy from puppy mills. Just because a breeder sells to a pet store does not make them a puppy mill and so on. The most recent puppy I bought from this store the breeder raised the puppies in her home. I have talked to her two different times now with questions. That’s no puppy mill. My twins were born early and have lots of medical problems and the Dr. recommended we get a dog for them. We tried to adopt a shelter dog but when we brought it home it tried to bite my daughter and I had to take it back. Not wanting that to be her only dog memory I ended up here. We all as citizens should have a right to choose where we buy and what we buy. These were freedoms many of our countrymen died for. Stopping this from happening will only give up our freedoms. All I’m saying in this case is don’t put all pet stores in one category for there is good and bad in everything and this one is one of the best. I will continue to shop here... more

We go here about once a week for crickets for a pet tarantula. (I know, ick) The staff is always so friendly to our 6 and 8 year old boys. The last time we were there, she showed them some baby hamsters that were just born. The store is clean. Prices are average. They always give us more crickets than we ask for, which is great. more
