I recently took one of my small dogs for a nail trimming. Once she returned to me about 10 minutes later, my dog s eye was bloodshot and there was a knot on top of her head and growing. I took her straight to the vet who stated she suffered from a burst blood vessel. After I contacted PPS back, they said it was typical , it happens with all small dogs , and that I wasted my money by taking her to the vet. In my opinion, if it is so common, why didn t they say something before they took her back, during when she was upset and hard to control, or after when there was something obviously wrong with her. The vet instructed me that, if not treated, it could cause vision loss so it seems to be important to pet owners that they know this information and that it could happen if it s so typical . I know you re probably wondering why I didn t confront them about it right then and there after she was brought back out to me, I thought taking her straight to the vet was the best for her at the time instead of wasting my time arguing with these incompetent people that obviously do not take into consideration how pet owners view their highly loved pets.\r

PPS stated that the nail groomer had to hold her under her arm to make her cooperate and get her nails cut. However, again, I ask why didn t you tell me she was not cooperating and that if she uses force, tell me what can happen instead of just doing it, bringing her out like nothing was wrong and then tell me I wasted my own money. I firmly believe, however, that she hit my 3-pound dog because she was terribly frightened of everyone after we made it back home. Thankfully, three vet visits later and money wasted according to PPS, she is better after the medications the vet gave me, but had I not taken her straight to the vet, I fear what could have happened to her. Or if I would not have been waiting for her, if they had to keep her for a longer period of time.. I don t even want to think about it. Please tell your friends-no dog deserves to be treated this way and I believe that the entire team at PPS knew what happened but tried to sugar coat it when speaking with me.
