Most of your staff are incredibly helpful and sweet. I love that they recognize our diog and call him by his name as we enter the door. There are a few not-so-friendly gals who are rude but overall everyone is awesome. My dog loves coming there. more

Bella my miniature schnauzer has stayed with Pet Playhouse three or four times since moving to the Reno area three years ago. This was an extended stay due to a Caribbean cruise over New Year's. Bella always comes home happy and not stressed out !! A plus in my book! Thank you Pet Playhouse!!! more

Our dog Misty loves it at Pet Play House. The facility is very clean and boarding suits are just like home. Truly worry free dog care. The staff are all very friendly and accommodating. Best of all they love dogs! The BEST dog care ever! more

I tell everyone about you. The number of staff at your facility is far above other places I have visited. They are of great quality. The building gives the dogs variety and a clean new space. The idea of "slumberparty" shows your concern for dog comfort. more

I have been taking my golden retriever to Pet Playhouse for a year, since he was 6. Mos old. He loves it. The employees love him and I feel great about his care. Highly recommend!! more

I was one of The Pet Playhouse's original clients in the old house next door to the current facility. Jack was 13 1/2 when he passed away and for 13 of those years I trusted him to the care of Lisa, Addie, Bill and all the great employees. Now Rico has been going there since we adopted him. That was 3 1/2 years ago. I would never go anywhere else. I trust these people with my fur baby three days a week and also when we go out of town. Thank goodness for The Pet Playhouse! more

We have been taking our Dog, Kona, to Pet Play House for day care (and boarding) for a little over two years now. We have a shepherd mix (i.e., an active breed) that requires a lot of stimulation and exercise to be kept sane. Pet Play House has been an an excellent choice. There has never been a single time that I can think of that I haven't left the place feeling happy that our fur-friend was so well cared for. Kona is also a 'stranger anxious' dog that often takes quite a while to warm up to new people. He has never had an issue with any of the staff and they frequently report what a love bug he is. When I heard that and think of how he reacts to strangers around the house it only emphasizes even more that the folks at Pet Play House are carefully hired for their skills in working compassionately with your dog. I can't recommend highly enough! more

We love this place too! After reading Leslie?s comment I just have to say that I have been late to pick up my dog more than once. I felt terrible, and they were very nice to me about it. They told me it was no big deal and not to worry, they also said they wouldn?t accept the extra money that I was offering them since I was late. I find it really hard to believe that ANYONE would say ?we don?t want your kind of business? to a customer. Especially the owners of this place, or the staff. They have been nothing but pleasant to me even when I have been late. Also since she writes that this supposedly happened to her ?friends? I don?t believe it for a second. Sounds like she?s a grouchy old lady with something against these nice people more

Absolute Rude & Nasty people 1/8/2012

I have a friend who has been going here for quite awhile. One time, they were late due to unforeseen & unavoidable circumstances. The rude woman (I guess she's the owner) informed them: We don't want 'your kind of business'. I would never take my dog to a place that treats people like this. The 'act' nice & caring to your face while they want your money, but one mistake and look out! Their true personalities come out then. I will make sure anyone I know with a dog knows NOT to use this place, unless of course they want to be treated like a second class person and have people be rude & nasty. (I wanted to rate no stars but that's not an option) more

  • When Pet Play House first opened in the year 2000, we became innovators in the Reno/Sparks area in the concept of indoor/outdoor group play. The concept of group interaction, for both daycare and boarding, is a natural approach where participating dogs are properly selected for a healthy interaction of big and small dogs alike while being a part of a social pack with human leaders.

    Since then, we've expanded to embrace our original concepts of indoor/outdoor play, with a facility built specifically for the purpose of pet care and luxury boarding, with unique activities and areas available for our doggies!
