On June 20th, I had my 1 yr 8 mo in-door cat inoculated with her scheduled yearly distemper/rabies shots. Our cat previously received these shots with no adverse reaction. She was inspected by Bruce Radomski, DVM, and was said to be in good health. Approximately 15 mins later, on the way home, my cat started screaming, had a seizure and died. My wife and I immediately took her back to the clinic. They stated they were not responsible, gave us the number of the drug manufacturer, would not answer answer any more questions and asked us to leave. We have consulted with 2 other animal clinics in the area, and this situation is unheard of. A reasonable person would expect practitioners of veterinary health to be concerned when a healthy animal dies immediately after routine inoculations. Wood's Corner animal clinic's lack responsibility to customers and their pets, in my opinion, is tragic and completely unacceptable.
