Pet City

I have gone here several times looking for saltwater fish/supplies. I live in Wesley Chapel, and there is no where else to get marine fish within 45 miles of here with the same variety and quality.The manager helped me to cure my sick yellow tang. He is kind of rough around the edges, but is honest about the advice he gives about fish. He even has anemonies, clams, starfish, shrimp and live rock. The only place to go around here is PetCo (!!), and I would not buy saltwater fish there unless it was the last place on Earth. The fish are sick and you can only get about 5 different kinds of saltwater fish. more

The pet store does not have ANY gnats whatsoever. I go there practically everyday! I help out at the store alot and there are NEVER any live animals crammed into a very decent sized glass/wood lined home. Other then the mmice and rats, of which are to be meant for live food, the mice and rats at other pet stores are basically the same. The animals NEVER seem sick, bird poop is never piled high on the bottom of the cage either! Customer service there is very good, I would know. I see, everytime I go there, the employees are very nice and willing to help you out! Dead fish always appear in pet stores, it just happens. It's not the pet stores fault, they get new shipments of live stock and supplies every Thursday. The fish are bred by the company that breeds them. Ask Tam, Rose, mike, and Leann if you ever need any help. They will certaintly help you out! more

I have spoken to the staff their a few times now and today was the worst. I am so angry. I buy Innova cat and dog food there and every time I go in the price is higher. The cat food started at $14.99 today it was at $20.99. I kept the bag my cat just finished and the price is clearly written $19.99. When I mentioned it to the manager, Mike, I believe his name is. He said the prices only go up three times a year b/c of the brand increasing their prices or some BS. That's the exact same line his other staff gave me last month when I was there buying my pets food and questioned it. They are all clearly told to say the same crap. After a few months of realizing their prices kept going up I switched to Chicken soup for the pet lovers soul for my dog?s food. At Mikes advice ?because it?s comparable food at a better price?. That started at $7.99 and is now at $12.99 but again the same excuse as to why. He and another sales person sat there arguing with me that the prices only increase three times a year. So you?re trying to tell me that I only buy my yorkie's dog food and my cat food 6lbs bags of food three times a year ..........UH I DON""T THINK SO!!!! They are the absolute worst store ever and I will pray every day that they close down. There are much better HONEST businesses that deserve the space and customers. I am happy to say that as a loyal customer of theirs since they opened. THEY BLOW! AND I AM NEVER RETURNING! more

Although this store may have supplies available,, you are unable to walk in this place with out nats flying in your face the entire time,, Has anyone actually ever looked at the animals they have?? They are infested w various critters, fish floating dead in tanks, ect. I can not imagine why this place has not been shut down yet.. They need to stick to supplies only. There are only a few employees who are actually pleasant, and the owner is NOT one of them..I friend of my bought a reptile from this place with a skin infection!!
