Don't go here!!! Unless you want to end up with a dead animal and a bill that they won't refund. My daughter took in her hedgehog and they sent her home with some anitbiotics and said she had a respiratory problem that they would address in a week. The next day the hedgehog was barely breathing and we took her to another hospital where they said she only had a 25% change of surviving if she was hospitalized. She died that day. The Office manager was extremely rude when I inquired about a refund for the first office visit. I was told I would be contacted serveral times, never was. I was also told that I they would get a third party to review the case, but I couldn't see the repoprt. HMMMM, they never got a third party to look at the details and they had there doctor look at it and make a judgement call (just as I thought). To say the least I never did receive a refund, was treated rudely, and we had to deal with the sadness of an animal that passed. Pros: null Cons: null more

Pet Care Veterinary Clinic is without a doubt the finest, most loving, gentle, considerate & caring group of animal health care professionals I have ever encountered in over 50 years of using veterinary services for my own animal companions. Dr. Peter Fisher is so kind & thoughtful, so unbelievably skillful & knowledgeable & compassionate that i cannot say any vet i've ever taken my little ones to has ever reached his top-notch level, in my humble opinion. My standards for my little ones are scrutinizing & very high. Pet Care boasts the newest & most thorough technology to treat most any health condition you can name. And they are very kind when it comes to making payment arrangements for those clients who struggle financially. I couldnt recommend Pet Care highly enough. more

I?ve been a client at Pet Care Veterinary Hospital for more than 20 years. The doctors have taken excellent care of numerous animals for me over the years. Some were just days old and had their dew claws removed, some were old and/or sick and needed help gently getting to the Bridge when it was time and there is everything in between. They guided me on how important it was to socialize my Rottweiler and in the end, my Rottweiler LOVED to go visit the doctors. They directed me to a reputable breeder when I wanted to make a Shar Pei part of our family. Eleven years ago I became involved with Shar Pei rescue and they never flinched. The doctors have helped with the most difficult cases by taking good care of the animals AND making it affordable to the rescue group too. Six and a half years ago I moved to Isle of Wight County and even though it?s an hour drive, I still take my animals and the rescue animals to them. All in all, I cannot express how wonderful, compassionate and knowledgeable the doctors at Pet Care Veterinary Hospital are. We brought our puppies in to be checked and they were not thoroughly checked by one vet .Then another vet proceeded to dock their tails and remove their dewclaws and sent them home. Two weeks later 3 of the puppies died from a birth defect. These puppies did not need to suffer for 3wks because of the vets negligence if they had been checked properly they would not have had to suffer nor would of our family had to wake up to a dead puppy in our house and we would not of had to of paid for 3 puppies to have those items removed. After talking to several other people, vets included they should of checked their temps and seen the problem then. When confronted with the issue they denied the facts and said that they don't check that on puppies but every other time I have brought my previous puppies in for a check up they never hesitated to stick a thermometer up their butts. So what is it ? you do or you don't I suggest strongly that YOU DO no matter how old they are ! Cons: Not consistent more

Our family has a dog, cat, and two guinea pigs. I was shocked to discover our normal family vet will not treat small animals like guinea pigs...so we started calling around and found Pet Care Vet Hospital after a few tries. They were spectacular - great with our pets, and quickly did lab work on site and scheduled a needed surgery for the following day. I strongly recommend this business to any pet owner! Thanks. more

These guys are great with my old grumpy dog. They're really patient and seem to genuinely care about your pets' wellbeing. I also took my reptile here, but wasn't too impressed. The doctor really didn't seem informed about the species at all, and did not thoroughly check over my guy. It's one of the only places around that does herps and exotics, so I can't complain too much. I will definitely continue to bring my dog here though! more

I would deffinitly bring my animal here. Especialy if this is the first time you have owned a pet. THey are very willing to chare information on your animal and how to care for you animal. The are great with everyone. I had a Rottweiler puppy and they just loved her. They were very quick to talk to me about hip displasa and any other things she might get. They also are not ones to over charge or try to get you to buy something you don't need. They gave me plenty of FREE samples. more
