My friend and I went to this salon for a mani/pedi. Once you walk in the door, it smells like mildew/mold/wet basement. I should have walked out the door then. First was the pedicures.
The parafin wax pedicure wasn't so bad. The owner spent a good amount of time and did an OK job at painting the toes.
The manicure was horrendous. It was supposed to be a shellac manicure. There was almost no cuticle work. Since she did not have white polish for a french manicure, I asked for black tips. She did one coat and it looked terrible, like a child had painted it. She blamed my nails and said it looked bad because they were different lengths. I've never had that problem before...I have natural nails and have never had that problem before. She asked if I wanted to continue with that or go with a solid coat. I asked for a solid coat, figuring that couldn't me ruined too easily.
She started to remove the black-tipped coat, but only did half way, so the base coat bubbled and began to chip off. She started to paint the solid coat over the 12/ on-1/2 off black-tipped nails and told me it would be fine. She got done with one hand and it looked awful. I asked her to remove it all and while doing so, she very politely blamed me for not being able to make up my mind between colors. She told me I could come back the next day and get them repainted and she'd throw in an eyebrow wax for free.
I may have gone back if she had removed all of the shellacing from my nails. When I left, they were very rough and cracking. I ran to my usual salon and got them redone.
Moral of this-never go here for nails!
