Perfextions Tanning

I quit tanning here six years ago for the same reason as the other unhappy customers listed below. I am now receiving daily text messages for ""exclusive deals"". I called to ask how to be removed and the gentleman- who was obviously bothered by me calling to ask, told me to ""just reply with unsubscribe"". It would be nice if you would list that in your obnoxious text alert so they don't have to waste their time, and yours, calling you. more

I signed a membership with Perfextions - Robert. He is the most arrogant business owner I've yet to meet. I came in, went to tan and the bed was dirty. I got dressed and told him the bed was dirty - he cleaned it... \r \r The next time I came in to tan, the girl at the counter asked me if I had everything, I said yes. She said do you have eye gear, I said yes.. she I want to see it. WTF? Are you calling customers liars? I showed her, tanned and left.\r \r The next time I came to tan - the beds were dirty again. I left and never returned. \r \r I paid out my year contract thinking, I signed a contract, I'll do the right thing. I called in Jan to make sure everything was handled and I would no longer be getting charged and he said my contract was up in Feb and that was it.\r \r March comes around and I""m charged AGAIN. I call him and he said, you have to mail a letter stating that you want to cancel. I said, why didnt you tell me this when I called you in February? He said it was in my contract I signed.. \r \r Soo.. you not only take 400$ of mine for a year of services not used.. you continue AFTER my contract? What a piece of sh*t business you run ROBERT. more

Along with scentsygirl, I too had issues with the owner and billing. \r \r When signing up, make sure you read the ""contract"" on that crappy piece of paper he has you sign. Because when you're forced to move, he doesn't take anything into consideration except that ""he has your signature on file"" and ""it isn't his job to babysit you."" \r \r I went in to cancel 2 days before my monthly payment was due, and the lady at the counter said in order to cancel I would have to pay a $288 buy-out fee. I left a note asking him not to charge my card until he called me because I had moved. Not only did he charge my card for the month, but because my card didn't go through (my bank switched cards causing me to switch my card numbers 2 nights prior to that) I got charged a late fee of $35.00, and 2 other charges unaccounted for. He called me on the 17 informing me my card did not go through, and I told him what was going on and asked if I could come in and pay cash for the money I ""owed"" him because I didn't want my card on file in his establishment any longer. He said yes, that was fine. \r \r I paid him 110 in cash that I never got a receipt for, and the following Saturday 73 more dollars came out of my account. That Monday I called and asked him what was going on, and all he kept saying was ""I don't have time to babysit you. You should have read the contract."" \r \r I asked for a copy of my contract and a list of all of the ""fees"" I was charged (75.00 and 35.00 in cash that is unaccounted for) along with the receipt from the cash transaction I never received. \r \r 3 weeks later and I'm still waiting on that email... more

Definately worth the $$.............When I am in town, I always come here to tan because their beds are fast and give me great color. Always the newest products at great prices. more

I typically dont tan really well in tanning beds so they suggested the mystic tan booth........got a great deal on a mystic membership so now I look bronze and dont have to spend time laying in the beds !!! Fast and convenient more

My friends and I love going here because the beds work really well , salon is always clean , and prices are gr8 !!! more

You are in, you are out, you are done ! Awesome color in their 8 minute super bronzer after just 2 sessions. I got more in here in 2 sessions than I did in a month at another local salon. Their packages are reasonable, never had an issue with their billing ( unlike other salons) , and they go the extra mile. more

Have been tanning around the area here and have wasted money on other places claiming they know what they are talking about............Unlike other salons that have a staff that doesnt know about products or the beds, Perfextions knows what they are talking about. Great deals, friendly staff...........There is a reason why I have been tanning here for 3 years......... more

Tan here and you will understand why they are still around when all the other salons close and change hands every other year. I have been tanning for 20 years and certainly tried to save $ by tanning at a cut rate salon..........one session in their beds and you can tell they maintain their equipment. Always a great experience by staff that goes the extra mile. If you need anything just ask them !\r more

I have tanned at tons of salons in the area and not only find this salon to be the cleanest, best value, but fair and honest. Their beds are always hot, give great results, and they have the newest products. Its worth trying them out. I have tried other salons that lure you in with cheap prices, but .............you get what you pay for...............I am going on my 4th year with my monthly membership here and never a problem. more

Please be very careful if you choose to use this facility. The owner had my bank acct. debited without my consent. I had used my ATM card to make previous purchases at this facility in which I had authorized. But on this particular occasion, I had not even been in the establishment in 7 days, when he decided to make the transaction on my behalf. I tried to resolve the matter with the owner, but he continued to defend himself saying that he had authorization from me, which in fact he knows he didn't. Wouldn't reverse the charge unless I came in and ""signed something"" he said the authorize him to reverse thje charge. I explained to him that I hadn't signed anything for him to authorize the charge in the first place, and I would not sign anything to authorize the reversal. I informed him that I would be contacting the local police dept. and file fraud charges against the business in which I did. The facility itself was nice. No complaints about the cleanliness or the beds. Just beware and be cautious before handing over your credit card to this company. They may charge you for more than you authorize, and it is my understanding that this is illegal. more

This place is great..........always new lamps in their beds, quality equipment , great prices and daily specials. Plus they offer new customers a free week or free mystic tan ! Try them out for yourself and see. I have been going to Perfextions in La Porte for 3 years now and know my time spent in their beds is a worthwhile investment ! more

We find it odd that there are complaints on here that have never been brought to the attention of the business. Funny how the complaints trace back to other salons in the area . Trying to slander Perfextions name in order to profit ! more
