Pepperdine is amazing. period. 4/10/2006

Not only have I been a student at Pepperdine for 3 years, but I've also attended the bible lectureships here and just enrolled in 3 sessions of summer school! (crazy I know). Why you might ask am I willing to give up an ENTIRE summer to stay in malibu on campus??? Because it really is that beautiful here. You will never people as friendly or weather so consistently perfect as you will in malibu, and Pepperdine happens to be the most beautiful place here. Its easy to find and gain access to the campus if you are wanting to look around, and the cafeteria is open to anyone looking for a good meal. It might be one of the most expensive schools in the nation, but there is a good reason why people are willing to pay so much money to attend here. Pepperdine really is good at financial aid as well, trying to make it possible for ANYONE who wants to come to this school to have a chance. I could write about this school forever, really. more

I Love It Here!! 3/16/2006

I've been attending Pepperdine for three years now and have had the time of my life here. The campus is AMAZING (rated top in the country many times), the dorms are like mansions (also highly rated), and my education is very important to my teachers. Yes, the tuition is insanely high but scholarships always help...so if interested look for extra $$ help early on. Another great thing pepp offers are amazing overseas programs. I personally got to spend a year in Lyon, France through help from the school, and would have never had that opportunity without Pepperdine. Definitely a school to look into!! more

Pepperdine Unv. 12/16/2005

I was about to attend Pepperdine Unv. but I ended up picking Cal Poly Pomona for instead. I think Pepperdine Unv. is a great school, the campus and location is sooooo pretty! But the location of the school is far away from L.A. And this is a very expensive private school. If you are Christian you can consider this school! It's a very nice school with very little number of students. The teacher would have much more attend for you and other students. If you like to go to the beach this is great school! The beach for surfing or just a tan is not far away from school! It's a great school to go to if you think Malibu is not far away from L.A. more

Pepperdine University 12/5/2005

Pepperdine University, located in beautiful Malibu, California, is easily one of the best and most distinguished private universities on the west coast if not in the entire nation. Combine the pristine year-around environment, demanding educational curriculum, countless off campus opportunities, and everyday first class celebrity sightings, and Pepperdine University is clearly at the top. And with people like Kenneth Star at the top of the university, it's no wonder this educational facility is turning so many heads. Pros: Great Weather, Hot Girls, Highly Qualified Staff and Faculty Cons: No Football, Men’s Soccer, or Track & Field more

  • The Scene
Located on the campus of Malibu's Pepperdine University, it's a casual place where regular patrons rub elbows with Pepperdine art students and the occasional Malibu resident.

    The Goods
Widely regarded as one of the top 200 art collectors in the world, Frederick Weisman was a progressive man with a taste for whimsical, eye-catching art. The collection is constantly changing, from student exhibitions to world-renowed artists like Bernard Maisner (modern manuscripts) and Elizabeth Chisum (biblical landscapes). The collection changes monthly, ranging from Abstract Expressionism to Pop Art. A favorite was Victor Raphael's "Envision Space," which used digital technology to layer photographs of outer-space. Focusing on imaginative work, the museum is best enjoyed when all preconceptions are left at the door.
