Best B'Que 1/20/2005

I actually live in MS and was visiting Louisville and found Shakers by accident. I have been back several times to Louisville and Shakers is always on my list of places to eat. My husband and I love their B'Que Sandwich and burgers. Some of the best we have ever had. Will be visting again in July, 2005 and make sure I will eat there numerous times the week we are there. more

best burger hands down!!! 9/26/2004

This place is the "Big Burger" man's dream. For the beginners, get the Soldier combo (triple w/ cheese, fries and drink). This will get you off on the right foot. After that, it's time for the General (four) or the new 5 Star General (five, yes five). Either way, your in grilled meat heaven. Ribs, pulled pork, fish..... I've never eaten there and not been happy........ and full. more

For those visiting Pepper Shakers, its not a mexican resturant as it is listed here it's basically American. I've had their burgers, fish sandwiches, and their rib platter. The burgers are the best!! My husband loves the fish but I prefer Moby Dick's or Frische's fish myself. The bbq rib platter was somewhat a disappointment but it was ok. Dinner for two for my husband and myself ranges around $10 for sandwiches, fries and cokes. Drive through is slow but its worth the wait. Pros: Great Burgers, Inexpensive more

The burgers here are not only delicious, but are a value. The burgers are huge and very inexpensive. Most ppl I know can't eat a whole "General Burger". Wonderful Food!!! more
