Pepe Delgado's Mexican Rstrnt

The food here is horribly mediocre and bland, the salsa does taste like it came out of a bottle. The service was really bad. I sent my dinner back and told the waitress it was awful, she just took the plate and walked away and didn't so much as offer me an enchilada or something else, and so I went without dinner. The rest of my party wanted to complain about their enchiladas and tamales, both were just plan TV-dinner-eqsue at best.... but the waitress didn't give them a chance or even act like she so much as gave a darn. The drinks were watered down and ridiculously expensive: the regular margarita is $7 and a ""top shelf with Patron"" is $14... TWICE AS MUCH? That makes no sense, and it doesn't make sense to eat here, ever again. This was my dad's favorite Mexican hangout in the 70s and 80s. That Pepe Delgados is no more. Try Ponchos on Marsh or Taco Roco on Santa Rosa, both are more authentic and a much, much better value, with superior service, too. more

I am new to the SLO area from Fresno. I have been here since Dec2008 and have yet to find GOOD mexican food around here or 5 cities. Everyone in my mothers doctors office swore about PePe Delgado's so we finally went tonight. We were seated right away but the service was SLOW and the food was awful. The food is not traditional mexican food, the salsa tastes like tomato sauce and the entree had no flavor. All I tasted was cheese, not even my rice or beans. I will never go back to PePe Delgado's again. I will stick with Mexico Viejo in AG. Pros: awesome decor and atmosphere Cons: slow service and terrible food more

Last time i was there it was busy. so i waited with my friends at the bar. Had a few of their famous margaritas. once i got seated I order my meal. i had the asada wet burrito. while my friends had fajitas. it was such a hot plate. with is a good thing. well i service was ok since it was busy. i know some of the servers since i was kid. oh yeah i never heard of them having a fish burrito sorry cusin2. i had the fish tacos and i never had any bones in mine. so i think you have to wrong place. My Husband and I dine at Pepe Delgado's everytime we visit San Luis Obispo, we love the food, the prices are great! I love the exotic bird decoratios, atmosphere, wonderful and attentive service great drinks! A definite find! Pros: Great Mexican Cusine more

I went to this restaurant March 19 2006. I had a fish burrito but fish was not deep fried and there were few bones. Obviously, price is too high for the food they serve. If you are looking for normal mexican restaurant, I do not recommend this one. Cons: prices, food more
