I arrived at Pep Boys at 8: 53AM on a rainy morning. Needed an oil change and a headlight replaced and a fuse or two replaced. Was told initially that it would take about 45 minutes. At 10:00 am the guy at the service desk told us it wasn't a fuse but something the dealer would have to take care of and that it would be a few minutes before my car was finished. AT 11:00am I went up to the service desk and asked if there was a problem because it was taking so long. He said that they were waiting for a part for the headlight. (Bear in mind they have a waiting area that overlooks their service garage so that you can see what's going on). I then asked why the oil change hadn't been done yet while they were waiting for the part. Some other guy piped in asking what the problem was. I told him that I had been there since before 9am and didn't understand why I was still there and my car wasn't done. His reply was that "they have other cars to work on you know", to which I said that I haven't even seen my car go up on the lift for an oil change and that there were only 2 other cars and 2 other mechanics in the garage. I rolled my eyes and returned to the waiting area. All of a sudden there's 3 guys working on my car and it was ready 15 minutes later. Granted they knocked off 30.00 the bill, but I will never go back there again.
