I called ahead to ask about getting a battery put into my car. The guy on the phone seemed friendly at the time and asked would I like to make an appointment. I said sure I'll be there in about 30 minutes. When I got there the woman at the desk was rude, suggested that I should come back another day. kept stressing that they didn't have enough people working and at first didn't even attempt to check my appointment. THEN she yelled across the store to another employee, confirming that some people were about to go home. She made jokes with a coworker about my being there and sang "mamma said they'll be days like this"?? What? Finally after nearly two hours and other people getting helped before me, my car keys where placed at the counter with a man who said to his coworker "i'll get to it when I get to it." I read these reviews and as a former shop owner (now physically disabled), this store has impressed me and my family. The store has a huge selection of tools/products. The staff was friendly and answered questions about my 1985 Ford Pickup that I needed help with. I spoke with one of the master mechanics in their service department that even offered a free checkup to see if there were any issues with my truck. They were honest, didn't feed me any bs about their products, and made me feel very comfortable. I will be coming back here for all my vehicle needs. This is the kind of service that needs to be done with all other shops, very happy with my experience. -James more

They took an incredible amount of time to change my oil. They had the car in the shop... never did the oil change. Told me to come back another time. Left the oil cap off... now the car has leaked oil all over my garage and driveway. I'm waiting to have it checked by Nissan. I'll update with how they handle being responsible for possible repairs and my personal property cleanup. more

I think Pep Boys are good. They have done numerous free checks for me, re-charged a dead battery for free, checked tire pressures, have always been reasonable and helpful. I don't understand the poor reviews, could be management changes. Check dates for most recent reviews. I RECOMMEND. more

Chances are if you're going to PEP Boys then you know you're going to find what you're looking for. All of their locations are pretty much the same, but the people are different. I can proudly say that I know some of these guys personally and they are good guys that will steer you in the right direction every time. more

I went to PEP Boys just to have my brake and turn light replaced, it took them 2 hours. Not only that they told me it was 2 bulbs they need to replace when it was only 1 and they charged me $25. I questioned them and they lied. When my other brake light went out\r I went to Advance and asked them about it. I got 2 light bulbs for less than $5 and the person put it in for me free and told me 1 bulb serves as brake light and a turn light. Pep Boys was very dishonest more

when to store to get a second opinion on brakes. and they did a free brake check . not only did they repair my brakes but they were honest and very helpful. i would recomend pepboys to all. more

This store is over priced. They took an entire day to install 4 new tires after we were given a 2 hour turn around. They did not care at all that we were inconvienenced. I would not recommend this company. more

I have never returned happy from this store. they dont what they are doing. no product knowledge. no nothing. I wish they would learn some thing from there competetors. more
