Air Filters and Water in Fuel 10/5/2009

I took my 2005 Chevy Malibu to Pep Boys for service after running the car into high water during a flood. not much damage was done to the interior of the car but the engine had issues with water damage. Their service department used patients in diagnosing the problems with the air filter taking in water, and the did everything they could to salvage the working parts and flushed the gas tank to insure future problems didnt occur. the car still runs like a top. more

overpriced and underskilled! 11/9/2007

I am so fed up with this place. Every time I've been in for service, they ALWAYS come up with unnecessary repairs and charge an arm and leg for it. One of MANY examples... Mysteriously my brake lights never work when its there and need new circuit boards. Not one vehicle, but all my vehicles! Then when I decline the service they magically start working as I pull my vehicle out. Please don't take your auto to this establishment. I am convinced they will be shown on Dateline NBC one day. Just a friendly warning. more
