Peoria Zoo

A part of a recent expansion project, the Zambezi River Lodge at the Peoria Zoo is the hottest new spot for receptions in the area.

The Lodge, located in the middle of The Peoria Zoo, is enclosed by windows that look out over the African plains, right here in Central Illinois. During temperate weather, your guests will marvel as rhinos, giraffes, zebras, lions, and other wildlife native to the African plains graze peacefully in their beautiful surroundings. The stone interior, complete with African artifacts and warm lighting, is a unique locations for your special day.

The Zambezi River Lodge can seat up to 200 guests
for wedding receptions, corporate outings, and other special events. The Lodge has indoor restrooms and a catering kitchen. With air conditioning plus heated floors and a central fireplace, it is temperature-controlled for year-round use.

Just outside the Lodge is the Zambezi River Village, which includes a covered, open-air rondoval for additional entertainment needs. It is surrounded by a large courtyard, and can accommodate 1200+ guests.
