People Movers

This is a $@!#% business that hires convicts to work for them and then misquotes the customers prices and tries to gouge you at the end of the move. Very unprofessional practices and don't give them your credit card info because they will charge you whenever they feel like it. they charged me 2 months after services rendered and after I had paid my balance. my card was ran without my authorization! RESPONSE FROM The People Movers: We are not a bad business. We tried very hard with this customer however when you book a phone order over the phone all we can do is charge by the hour and however long it takes you have to pay for. We offer free in home estimates so that there is no question on to how much the move will cost. This was a friend to a girl we had helping us in the office and he got a GREAT hourly rate for three men he did not want to pay what the job went and we even gave a half hour off his move as well! We have always tried to please the customer but not at the expense of giving our services away for free. We have lots of customers that are very happy with our service we do not hire convicts this customer is just not possible to please. We do not charge anyone for anything they did not sign for and agree to pay by signing all the paperwork and using our guys for that amount of time! This customer was only quoted an hourly rate and we only charged for the hours we were out there other than the half hour we took off to try and please the customer. more

I would definitely recommend The People Movers and use them again. For one, I know it's all on a time basis for the cost. They tried sticking to that schedule. The supervisor who was there had his guys working and hitting one room after another. I was actually the one telling them to take a break! I didn't have to push them. They were very professional and did the job. Another good thing was how they handled my wife's indecision over where things should go. I'd come in and ask them to move a piece, and they didn't complain at all. They went completely above and beyond with everything. more

Overall, The People Movers were alright. I think that they were good at working around problems. Initially we were suppose to have two trucks, so we had to do some creative problem solving when one of the trucks broke down and was out of service. They handled that well. They were on time too! If your late, you're dead meat to me. I felt that they all were very hard workers. I'm grateful for their help. But when the they were running out of time, some stuff was starting to be thrown around and things got disordered. I'm not sure how we ran out of time, so I was disappointed how that happened. There was a box full of garden care products in the garage when it was suppose to be in the storage shed. I found the box on the side and some chemicals had leaked out. That got me wondering what else was in there that shouldn't be in there. I wish they were more flexible with their time. I got exhausted sorting through everything making sure everything was suppose to be in there. I was upset about that. Despite the problems, the office staff was great and the movers worked really hard and weren't lazy at all. There just was a couple of surprises that popped up in the experience that didn't help. more

The People Movers moved us out of an apartment and into a house across town. They were wonderful. I was very satisfied with the move. No problem whatever. We told them we had a certain amount of money for the job. They were able to complete the move and come in under the price we had agreed on. They were really great and worked hard. more

The People Movers were on time. Their prices were fair. The people were courteous. They did a good job overall. A few things were broken but that happens on every move. more

I used them twice. The first time I used them to move my mom into storage. They were really nice, she had cancer at the time and went above and beyond for us. I really appreciated that. The second time I used them they were really good also. more

The People Movers get the job done in a timely manner for a reasonable price. They were very polite, courteous and willing do do what you asked. Everything turned out wonderfully, they took excellent care of all my stuff: nothing damaged, broken or missing. I would hire them again, I wouldn't think of using another moving company. more

The People Movers were great! They arrived promptly, and were very careful with all of my stuff. We had a two hour drive from my old home to my new one, and everything was perfect. They moved extra furniture, because I couldn't get stuff moved out of the way in time, and they were willing to do anything I needed. They weren't afraid to work. I'm only partially moved, and I will be hiring them to finish the move in a few months. You wont be disappointed if you hire them. more

The People Movers were there when they said they would be, and delivered when they said. There were very nice to deal with. The driver, the people doing the moving, and the person from the office were always very professional. I do have some outstanding issues with them. I have a radio that was in the original box, and is now missing. I've checked every single thing. I also have a few things that got scratched, but nothing of major proportions. more

I thought they were really kind. I had some pieces of furniture I was concerned about, so I talked to the guy in charge and he took extra time to make sure my furniture was wrapped well and would not get damaged. more

The People Movers were excellent and made moving easy. They moved me out of my old home and into my new house. They were just excellent. This was my first time working with them and I would use their service in the future. I've never had such a good experience with a mover before. more

I met with three different people, and I felt like The People Movers had the years of service and the knowledge of the industry. I felt comfortable utilizing them. The price was fair; it wasn't the cheapest but it wasn't the most expensive either. I referred them to a client today. more

The People Movers were really hard workers and they had a great attitude. You know, they just went out of their way to do whatever they could to help. I looked at them on the Better Business Bureau, they had an A+ rating, and they lived up to it. It was very good. It was great. more

It was a horrible day. My mom was 91 and moving out of her home and into a retirement home. The People Movers were incredibly friendly, comforting, and sweet. They knew the group homes around here, so they were able to tell us all about it. They knew where to go, so they sort of shepherded us along and were reassuring. There was no noise about how something was packed, and they just took care of everything. more
