If it was possible i wouldnt even give them a star! they are REDICULOUS! they would call me for every tiny problem they had it was rediculous. They kept making statements like we have to "train" your child to do what we want.. and the whole time I'm thinking.!!!??? TRAIN! he is a CHILD not a dog! I pulled him out after 2 months of being there! more

When i was a junior i relocated to pensacola from new orleans during hurricane katrina. the principal let me in, in the middle of september even when there was no open spots for enrollment. they showed me nothing but love and compassion. the students and faculty were all great. yes they were really strict and gave me ridiculous amounts of homework, but if you are a truly focused student who wants to learn then it is perfect. i hated it at the time, since all i could focus on was my homelife in new orleans/ looking back it now though i was very blessed to be put in such a positive environment during a chaotic time. again all the students were helpful and polite. i hope someone from that time remembers and sees this. thank you for your kindness. i was only there for 3 months but it made an impact. more

Their education is great, but the atmosphere was too stressful for my child. I just worry about how kids who grow up in that school will later see Christianity. more

It was my daddy that dreamed of the Christion school. He was the founder of the school and spent hours getting children to come to the school. As he lay dying in the hospital he would say, "I signed up four more childen for the school today". He was a wonderful man and my mother stayed right at his side. PCA is the greatest Christian school in the world. The education is amazing as everyone knows. There's a reason why PCA graduates generally excel in life. The greatest thing however is how much the teachers care for you. They will bend over backwards to talk to a student if they come to them for help. They pray for their students unceasingly and love them. PCA changed my life for the best. As someone that wants to serve God with all my heart, the standards at PCA are awesome. It's all about perspective. The standards are there to protect, not restrict. Children and teenagers need to be taught discipline while they are young, or they will never learn it as adults. PCA provides the loving discipline and learning atmosphere that kids need to grow and become the men and women God want them to be. That's what education is all about. more

All I can say about PCA is that I enrolled my daughter there when was in K-4. Now she is in the 8th grade and all she talks about is how the teachers yelled in her face! more

I enjoyed my years at PCA (K4-9th) and the rules were really fair. But when it came time for me to join the 'high-school group' the rules for teen-aged women sky-rocketed- NO pants outside of school, NO shorts outside of school, NO "PDA-like actions" hugging, kissing on the cheek, even between siblings. \r My parents and I thought this was ridiculous and enrolled me in public school, which is nothing like how PCA portrayed it: a house of imbicilic, horny, teen-aged boys and girls.\r And I am happy and stress-free for the first time in 12 years. more

My 7 year old started at PCA in K-5. My 4 year old has startee K-4 this year. I agree this school is very structured and admit to joking that it's like stepping into the "Twilight Zone" or "Steppford" when on campus because of how well-groomed, clean, organized, predictable, and structured the school is. All of the teacher's tones of voices are similar and their handwritting is indistinguishable. I do not agree with all of their beliefs; but you cannot beat their curriculum. the A Beka program has a international demand. i do not agree with one commentor who says they are all about the money. My 7 year old tuition is $205 per month. I have not found many private schools whose tuition is that cheap and offer the premium curriculum they offer. His monthly bill totals to $410 per month. This includes: tuition, lunch, private weekly piano lessons, and extended school day care. If I sent him to public school my monthly costs for the same "services" would cost approximately: $385. more

They provide a quality education, but the negative's are now outweighing the positives. Maybe you should look at your enrollment and see why it has declined. "ATTITUDE". \r I find it quite interesting that around the country the school is held in high regard. Look at the attitude towards the school "locally", in Pensacola.The manner in which they are living their lives and conducting their business day to day is not christian like. more

This school On the Basic of Race,and Color.There are not blacks that work in the office area.Mr. Edwards is a man only about money and Dr. Shoemarker is just a face and voice for the school.When it comes down to it they do not care about any thing but money.The Christian part is only in the name not the people who work there.The reviews you see are from white kids that have been and the teachers that work that.Not the real people who go.I can say academics are great.The school is like the mob. more

I attended PCA from K4- 9 and I loved it. The teachers really cared about my progress, not just mentally, but also spiritually and socially. I made many friends there and can say from firsthand experience that the rules are not oppressive, they are practical. Furthermore, I am now a nursing student at college and feel so well prepared for my classes thanks to my training at PCA I loved the people and still do. God bless them for their selfless work No matter how often I messed up or didn't do right, my teachers forgave me and worked with me over and over again. The atmosphere breeds peace and safety, which is not found in 99% of public schools I enjoyed my years there. By the way, the rules are are not that bad, and really, unless you went there longer than two years, you should not talk because you obviously don't have a full understanding of what really goes on. more

This school may not be everyone's cup of tea, but why should it be. This school is excellent, teachers are great and communicate with the parents. One always knows what's going on and what's coming up. The curriculum is great! What is wrong with rules, where would we be without them? So if you don't like this school, then pick one you like, but why knock it just because you don't agree with how they are. Everything is always organized and clean and I know my child will not go to - and be with - children who dress inappropriately, like I see in many public schools (who have dress codes also but don't enforce them). I know my children are as safe as possible. This school is one of the best. more

This school is the most religiously abusive, judgemental, hypocritical organization that I have ever had the displeasure of attending. I wouldn't send a dog there for obedience training. If you want an example of a Pharisee then this school has plenty of them. more

If we had lived in this area, I definately would have enrolled my children in this school. This is the best Christian school I have ever encountered. They offer an excellent academic curriculum for children up through high school. The building is gorgeous, reminiscent of Florida and colors of the sunset. Large classrooms, excellent teaching staff, rules that are set to be followed and are enforced, well-rounded curriculum and activities for children. I took a tour of this school with a student teacher and was highly impressed. Students from the associated Christian college often do their practise teaching in classrooms and there is no end to their creativity! They always afforded our children a very good education.We didn't always quite understand each other sometimes but I am so glad I listen to them as they gave our children an excellent start in education and they have excelled after they left there.They have no place to go but up.
