I have been a consigner and shopper with Pennystix for over a year now. I have never had a problem with my purchases or with the items that I have sold. The quality and quantity of items are great and affordable. I wouldn't believe any negative responses that you read on here. I would say go to the store first, then you will be hooked. I am constantly recommending family and friends to both consign and buy here. The best thing about Pennystix is the family atmosphere. more

I love the quality of items that are at Pennystix. Many consignment stores have clothes that are very worn out or outdated. I've always been pleased with the selection and the price at Pennystix. I have had the best experience with Pennystix. I have purchased many of my kids clothes from Pennystix because they have the best quality resale clothes. All their clothes have been in perfect condition. I have also consigned with them, and I have been more than happy with my return. I would recommend Pennystix to all my friends. I've been selling my children's clothes at Pennystix for over 5 years and am always surprised at the money I make! Of course, I end up buying more of their merchandise! The ladies there are so friendly and helpful - if you are looking for something specific, they will keep their eyes open for you and let you know when it comes in. I was shocked by the review I just read regarding Pennystix! I have had nothing but positive experiences in my ""business relationship"" with them. I have made quite some money reselling my children's clothes there. In fact one time I felt guilty with the amount of money they gave me! I do, however, usually end up spending all the money I made by buying more clothes at the store. Everything is in near perfect condition and my kids love all the name brands that we can now ""afford"". I have had nothing but very pleasant experiences with the owner and her staff. As far as the mildew smell, I have never noticed that. Besides, if it smelled so bad of mildew why would the last reviewer leave her clothes there in the first place? It makes me wonder if she is not just offended that Pennystix didn't think her clothes were up to their standards. I must say they do have high standard which is wonderful considering their low prices. Please do research this store...it will be well worth you time and well worth your money. more

I brought 3 baskets of clothes to this store. The owner went through 2 of the 3 baskets with me standing there. She was impressed with my clothing (very good condition) no stains, rips, worn out items. She had a big pile overflowing that she said she would keep. Another pile had about 6 winter coats that were hardly worn, shoes that were worn once or twice. She said these are nice things! I left there feeling like I would have a good business relationship with them. After about a week, they called to tell me they would donate what they didn't use or I could pick up these items (at this time they didn't tell me how many things were left). I said just donate them, that was fine. After about a month I called to see how much money I had in my account and she put me on hold and then came back and said that they only took 6 of my items to sell! WHAT!? She said many of my things had baby stains on them! (I don't have babies!) My clothes were size 3t and up! What about everything she was going to keep? My nice winter coats, shoes, sweaters, etc...??? No explanation. I had $2.65 in my account. I was furious. I was duped. They took my nice clothing and sold it solely for their profit! I gave them over 100 items! I asked them what did I sell that gave me $2.65? She said she didn't know, they don't keep track!? WHAt? Then how do they know who's things belong to who? Very unprofessional, the store smells horrible of mildew! Very unclean. It was a bad choice to take any of my things there. Never again! There are many nice consignment shops I have found since in the Pittsburgh area! BEWARE! Do your research first ! more
