Expertise, Integrity and Value -- highly recommended! 9/3/2011

Dr Mehaffy gets a 5 out of 5 because of (1) his expertise, (2) his integrity, (3) the results I've gotten, (4) value for money, (5) how respectfully he treats patients, and (6) the overall positive attitude and atmosphere of the entire office. RESULTS Dr Mehaffy helped me overcome a bad case of repetitive strain injury (RSI) from too much computer work. My arms and wrists hurt so much I almost couldn't use them, and I'd been dealing with it for years. He taught me simple stretches and did a lot of hands-on massage work to speed my muscles' recovery. Over time, I recovered fully and I have not suffered from repetitive strain injury since then! TREATS PATIENTS WELL Dr Mehaffy spent a good bit of time to explain to me what was going on to cause my pain, answered my questions, and was really patient and thorough. I truly felt valued and cared for as a person with a problem needing help, and he gave his time and attention to show it. EXPERTISE He is really the best I know of at what he does. I've referred other friends with RSI and they are really happy with the results as well. He is extremely knowledgeable, and for that reason I've referred others to him for non-RSI issues. INTEGRITY & VALUE FOR MY MONEY He knows his limits, so he's not going to try to treat something that should be seen by another specialist, so I really value his integrity. He teaches me stretches I can do at home so I can really contribute to (and maintain) my own recovery -- He's not about making people dependent on him. When I did go see him, he didn't waste time with stuff I could do myself -- he got in there and did deep-tissue work so my recovery would go faster. OVERALL POSITIVE EXPERIENCE! more

Carpal Tunnel or repetitive motion HEALER 3/10/2005

Takes a realistic approach to curing repetitive motion injuries caused by computer overuse. Energetic doctor and support staff make their intent to cure even more genuine. he was oracle's workman's comp man...the company's HR sent us to him...because his rehab worked, unlike that of other traditional physical therapists and doctors. More of his methods are being used in the field but this guy helped launch a lot of the recognition of myofascial tissue, and scapular stiffness that is causing us wrist pain. He's not about temporary pain relief (with ointments or electrodes). He's about undoing the 20+ years of computer work/strain that your hands & arms have gone through. more
