Peninsula Pet Lodge

I love this place. They have wonderful staff that i know love my pets. The office staff are so sweet and my dogs run up to them when i get there. I have my dogs groomed there and amber the groomer has done a wonderful job. She just groomed my cat and he looked so cute and he did not come home scared like i imagined. that was his first time. I have my pets stay in the suite lodging with the tvs. they have tv on while im at work and they deserve it while they are on vacation as well. They are tired when they come home from playing, I love this. i need a rest and so do they. I love that they bath them for me when they go home. i dont like having to bath my dogs right after a long vacation. i recommend night walks when you board. last minute walks are my favorite extra thing for them. I would try them out and see what you think before listening to the negative reviews. now days people have nothing better to do. im a firm person and love this place. more

My family and I have used Peninsula Pet Lodge for the past 15 years. During that time we have boarded many pets, cats and dogs, and all have been well cared for. \r \r We travel extensively and our pets are at Peninsula Pet Lodge in Olalla 5-6 times a year sometimes for a long weekend and at other times for up to 3 weeks. I could not think of leaving my ""babies"" at my vets, where they would have been in wire cages for up to 22 hours a day and leaving them closed up in our home while a pet sitter/walker came twice a day did not seem right. I have received photos of my pets via email while away; running in the grass or swimming in the pool for play time and feel much better about where they are while I am gone.\r \r Several times I have asked to walk in the back and see where my dogs will be housed (and this was not by appointment) and NEVER did I see anything questionable.\r \r Check-in and pick-up can be hectic, especially holidays with everyone bringing in their pets all at the same time along with beds, toys food and medications - it is not a drop and run experience. I know this and so I go a little early and patiently wait my turn so that my pets are properly checked in and any special instructions can be noted.\r \r Joey, the owner of Peninsula Pet Lodge, loves animals and also does dog and cat rescue - I know this because one of my three dogs found a home with me because of Joey. \r \r I would encourage you to go visit before you take your pet and tour the facility. Your pets will thank you - it's a cool place!\r more

They lost a pet for 11 days! was found in woods!!! Do not keep your loved one there. more

I moved up in the gig harbor area about a year ago. i needed a good place for my furry friend and this was the best in town. they have wonderful rooms that they call ""suites"" . they let me make there beds, they hide nothing from me when i go there. the staff is so nice and welcoming. i recommend them. more

I have had three interactions we this busness the first was just ok.\r the second was an eye opener about boarding our dog. at least we got our dog back...\r the third was a lesson in how a set of people can get tire of there jobs and become less than compassioate with those they deal with.\r \r I do not recomend them for boarding of animals.\r I strongly feel they should not be in thier creamation for pets buisness they do not have the compassion for it. Pros: good area Cons: dont deal with people well. more
