For their price point this restaurant fails to deliver in many ways. First off, for $200 for 2 people to have a nice dinner (yes, it's about that much for 2 cocktails, a shared appetizer, two entrees, bottle of ""cheap"" wine and dessert) you expect a top notch experience and cuisine. We arrived right on time for our 8:30 reservation, but weren't seated until 9:00. We split a tuna appetizer that was decent, but nothing extraordinary, and the Ribeye and the Duck Breast entrees. Both entrees were, once again, decent, but nothing great. For $30 entrees, you expect more than simply, decent. The coconut cake was very good, but we were pretty disenchanted with the whole experience by that point. With so many great restaurants within half a mile of the Peninsula Grill, don't waste your time with this one. Try McCrady's, High Cotton, SNOB, Blossom, Cypress, or FIG instead.
Pros: wine list, dessert
Cons: poor service, loud, expensive
