Penelope

After going to San Francisco 3 times from Mountain View and searching every little boutique and top department store, I wanted to shoot myself in the toe. I was so happy to hear about Penelope, but it took me 3 trips to Santana Row to actually find it. Located at the end of the street across the parkign lot, next to two businesses that seem closed, you see this European elegant boutique with a ravishing elegant lady, who speaks in a nice European accent. The store is called Penelope. They have the latest dresses from Europe and no one has the selection or prices. My dress was by far the best at our new year party. I can't wait to go back. I told them about how hard it was to find them, and she assured me that she has been trying to move to main street, but it seems that Santana Row doesn't allow them to move there. It sounds like something is wrong there. I told her that I would love to help her, because of my profession, but she smiled and said it's okay, thank you. What a classy lady. Santana Row is not smart. This store brings class to any place. It is also by far classier than most stores you see on Santana Row these days. I was looking for a one of a kind dress that no one would have. I was so excited to find Penelope store and it was by accident. I went to Santana row and while leaving I passed by a store with amazing window. I had to make a U turn and look for parking... ;( The lady who greeted me was Parvin, the owner, and she is very nice, beautiful, and classy! She helped me narrow down the dress. After weeks of searching and finding nothing, here I was in Penelope with 4 dresses taht I loved. They where all from Paris except one from Canada. I got a great deal and amazing service. I don't know why this store is not on the main street on Santana Row. The worst part of this expereince was the location of this place. I would not ever walk there at night, becasue it is no one on that side street except her and some cell store and doctor office... I got my daughters prom dress from this boutique. They where so nice to ensure us that she would be the only one wearing that dress in her school and surrounding high schools. They allowed her to wear a dress that some actress wore at the Oscars last year for the fraction of the price. The service was friendly, real, and very caring. The price was also fantastic. I highly recommend you getting your prom dress form Penelope. Although all the staff was nice, we worked with Parvin. I think she is the owner. She is a very classy lady, yet very helpful. good luck all!
