Penang is the name of a place in Malaysia, a country in Southeast Asia. Its cuisine is what this restaurant serves up. Really, the food is something out of the ordinary. Imagine fried noodles with seafood. Or grilled kebabs with peanut sauce. Or Indian style flatbreads with curry. I could go on... This restaurant is my favorite in the Edison area. It's also very convenient. It's right off Route 1, and many grocery stores are nearby, including PathMark, ShopRite, etc.
In addition, I like their interior decor. They have this big pot (it's huge) with noodles (I wonder what they're made of?) right in the front, and overall it feels kind of industrial inside. There's an open kitchen too. The prices are very reasonable, and you can feed four people for $40. A good deal for good food.
