I have to a review Pelican Aire because I am very dissatisfied with the customer service I received. The owner, Rick Houghton came out to do the estimate for replacing my heat pump. I was having a problem cooling one bedroom and he said his technicians would look at my existing ductwork to see if it was sound. He also said with the new heat pump he could ?play? with the settings to fix this problem. After the system was installed, I had the exact same problem. His idea of ?playing? was simply to push more air into the bedroom. I had to go into the attic and find the problem myself. Turns out the ductwork needed repair. His technicians were in such a rush that they never checked it. They also strapped two return lines to the roof so tight it was cutting off 50% of the airflow, and they put an electrical cover so close to my faucet that I had to cut a hole in it to operate the water. Poor workmanship. Worst, they swapped the 10kw heating element (which I specifically asked for) with an 8kw without telling me. Their customer service girl, Joanne, is terrible. It seems her goal is not to help you but to convince you there is no problem. She actually told me they were too busy to come out and that I needed to call someone else. The company has many positive reviews on their website which is one of the reasons I went with them. I found out however, that they cater more to commercial customers with few residential. This should have been a red flag. I will have to file with the BBB.
