Their cars are priced a lot less than other places and we have never had a problem with them fixing something on it after the sale. DO. NOT. BUY. A. CAR. AT. PELHAM. IMPORTS. They will sell you a piece of junk and not think twice about it. I was so excited to get my new car today. Wednesday they told my dad that they were going to check the brakes and fix the AC, clean the car out, change the windshield wipers and the front right turn signal. Only one of these things were done. My car was supposed to be picked up today at 3 o clock. When I realized none of these things were done, I threatened to report them to the BBB. They're doing a full brake job, changing the compressor in the air conditioner, cleaning it, and fixing the rest. All I have to say is that it better be ready on Monday or I will raise all kinds of hell.\r Go ANYWHERE but here. more

I would never purchase a car from this dealer unless you are ready to shell out a ton of money in a matter of weeks. I had to put over $2500 in my car to keep it running. When I went in to speak to the owners, I was told it was my fault and they would not assist me in any repairs. The owners wife was a real treat to deal with..... I tried to work out something with them to no avail, and was somewhat mocked and laughed at for describing the problems I had. The problem I have with them is that they have a daughter around my age in college..... Would they want a dealer to sell their daughter a lemon as they did me? Would they want their daughter on the road driving back from college in something that breaks down on her after only owning for 2 months unexpectedly? We all know the answer to this. If you want dependability, value, great customer service, and being free of stress about your purchase, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. I have only owned the car for 8 months and it literally almost blew up on me before I traded in to get a new car. DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE! \r more

They have very bad customer service. i bought a 2006 nissan altima from there and they didnt maintinance it before i drove it off the lot they said they did but didnt. One week after i bought the car i brought it back up there so they can fix my alignment and my brakes they had it for a week. And when i got my car back it was worse then when i brought it up there it was idiling really high it was sitting still the rpm was at 3, it was still pulling to the left and i brought it back up there and they were being very rude the owners wife was cussing at us and saying that they were done with us. more

I have bought five automobiles from this dealership. They are honest and good people to deal with. I have returned many times to have service work performed on our cars, and their service is outstanding and dependable. I bought our first car from Pelham Imports 14 years ago and my daughter plans to buy another car from them within 6 months. These people are truthful and honest in all their dealings with the public. I have recommended them to all my friends and family. It took me a long time to find a dealership of their quality, and I never regretted buying cars from them and I would advise anyone looking to buy a quality car from an honest dealership to look no further. more

Bad customer service. We were ready to purchase the car and negotiate a fair price. The owner refused to even speak to us, he was ""busy doing other stuff"". He sat at his computer 5 feet away from the lobby while his assistant would go talk to him, then come back to us. Not good salesmanship at all. more

I had a very bad experience when i wanted to purchase a car at this place. The customer service and especially the owner is very rude. The AC suddenly didn't work when I just purchased the car about two weeks. They said the car has warranty for 3 months or 3000 miles, but when i went there, they didn't want to fix it, and they said ""This is used car, i cannot fix it"". I Argued with them, and they asked me to get out. I had to spend another $320 for AC.\r What a very bed experience, i cannot forget it. BAD DEALER more

Sorry dennis007 felt he had a bad experience at Pelham Imports when purchasing his car. It's unfortunate that he has to show just how little he really knows and how inept he is. Everyone knows when you purchase a used vehicle in Alabama, it is the BUYER'S responsibility to pay the back taxes, if any at tag time! I have purchased 3 vehicles over the course of 8 yrs from Pelham Imports and they are the ONLY dealer I will go to. I always receive personal, caring and informative service from both the owner and his wife as well as their service staff. Perhaps dennis007 should learn a little before he opens his mouth and inserts his foot!!! more

Very bad dealership. Rude customer service especially Dealer's wife. she talks to customers as she is doing a big favor on them by selling the car. If you want to get anything done on the car get it done before you leave the dealership, otherwise will not do it , if you have any problem. \r \r My advice, Do NOT GO THERE. Very bad experience, I bought a car recently and I had to pay all the back taxes despite the fact that they told me that I don't have to worry about it.
