Pediatric Dentist R. Brian Yoshida, DMD

My kids are 18 and 20 and have been seeing Dr. Brian since they each chipped their first tooth - at ages 1 and 2. He's kind, yet will let them know if they could be doing more to care for their teeth. The staff are also great and very friendly. You can imagine that it was very traumatic for a 1 year old (and his mom) when his first tooth was chipped, but I remember feeling very comfortable with Dr. Brian taking care of my son. He also recommended that we go back to our orthodontist, when he noticed some movement years after the braces came off. He's great! Thanks Dr. Brian! more

I've been going to Dr. Yoshida since I was in second grade and been through everything with him -- fillings, getting teeth pulled, and countless routine checkups -- but through it all, Dr. Yoshida has always made me feel comfortable and well taken care of. He has a friendly and gentle manner, but I also feel like he's extremely knowledgeable and good at what he does. I can always trust him to do or suggest what is really best for me. Checkups are very efficient, with almost no wait time, and when I went in one time because a tooth was bothering me, Dr. Yoshida took the time to really make sure he fixed the problem (even though it meant several attempts). more

My family and I have also been going to Dr. Yoshida's office for 35+ years! First with my older siblings, then I as soon as I was old enough to go I started seeing Dr. Ralph Yoshida. Now I see Dr. Brian and I am bringing my children in to see him as well. Dr. Brian Yoshida is so warm and kind. He and his staff feel like family to us and are so patient with our young children. I love the fact that he and the staff are so gentle on my teeth and gums when cleaning, unlike so many other places. My children feel very comfortable about going to the dentist because of the fantastic soft approach he and his staff have when cleaning their teeth. I highly recommend Dr. Yoshida. more

Though he does see primarily children, like brianburling, I've also been going to Dr. Yoshida for ages. Great guy, great staff, they really do a good job. I remember one time when I went in just for a simple cleaning and checkup, Dr. Brian took the extra time needed to help me deal with some minor irritation I had been experiencing by giving me a filling. I have been going to the Yoshida's since I had teeth. After 30 years, I am still going. As long as they will have me, I won't be going anywhere else. In the early days, it was Brian's father, Ralph, but for over 10 years Dr. Brian and his staff have been taking care of me. After college, I briefly visited a local in network dentist who ""quoted"" me $2500 in work (6 or 7 surfaces requiring filling). I went back to Dr. Brian Yoshida for a second opinion. Dr. Brian told me it was bad and that I indeed needed some work - a single surface filled. When I once had a minor billing question it was handled promptly and without drama by wonderful office staff. The dental assistants are effective and thorough in their X-rays and cleanings. The cleanings are quick and comfortable. When I was a child, he and his father helped guide me to develop proper habits without being overbearing. I never feared the office and actually enjoyed going. As I grew up, I got stern advice when called for, but never felt like any point was belabored. When Dr. Brian is examining my teeth, he is quick and makes the experience comfortable. The few times where I needed a filling, the procedures were easy and only required local anesthetic. From a guy who has been visiting 2 generations of Yoshida's over 30 years, I cannot give a higher recommendation. I live in San Francisco and make the drive down every six months because I trust them impeccably. The chairs are made for kids and I am 6 foot 5 inches tall. I don't care - having someone like Dr. Brian Yoshida take care of me is worth it. more
