Please, DON""T rent from Ralph. He is known in the area as a terrible slum lord. If you own your own home it might be bearable but don't rent one of HIS properties. The homes he has are falling apart and bearly livable. I rented from him for 7 months before I realized the kitchen sink wasn't hooked up to the sewer and was pouring on the ground under the house. The floor in the back bedroom and bathroom was completely rotten. The tub was being held up by only the beams. And linoleum was placed over the holes. The a/c was rusted solid and it took him a week in the summer heat to get it replaced. We had a deal for me to fix the floor and replace the tub, which had a 6 inch crack and he never did reimburse me. He soaked me for the permits to get the electric and gas hooked up. He charged me $150 each and at the town hall it only costs $25.
He offered to let me have one of the abandoned sheds in an empty lot and then threatened to call the police when I went to move it. I took the second home he offered. The first (which is gone now from Ike) had floors that sagged a couple inches between each beam. And he had the nerve to actually say to me ""I like to take advantage of my renters here."" He was referring to how he gets residents to help with repairs and upkeep, like getting a neighbor to come and hook up the new a/c unit. All this headache for $565 a month rental.
And in the 10 months I lived there the management changed 3 times!
Seriously. Raintree Estates is one street over and 100% more desirable to this jerk!
