A paint job that will last for years! 1/20/2011

This project required extensive prep work including replacement of siding and sill dry rot and scraping of flaking paint. Brian came to give us an estimate on costs and wowed us with his knowledge of what would be needed to bring this house back to good exterior condition. Even though the costs ended up being more than I would have liked, the reasons he gave for each step proved to be valid as we looked at the house carefully. We are so grateful that those items of deterioration were caught before they became serious problems. We much prefer to have problems repaired rather than painting over them and want a paint job that will last for years. He helped us feel confident about the color and finish paint we chose without pushing his opinions. Each step of the work was finished on time, with appropriate amounts of communication with us and our tenants. They were careful with plants near the house and any concerns the tenants had about their vegetable garden. The workers were professional in attitude and behavior. I highly recommend Pearl Painters! 1/20/2011

Pearl Painters prepped and painted our two-story foyer. The team arrived on time and started to work immediately laying out tarps and covering banisters and carpeted stairs. When I had questions after the job was done, Brian and Chris came out and did an inspection. I am completely satisfied with their work. I would highly recommend Pearl Painters. more

Great Experience with this Painting company! 1/8/2011

Pearl Painters prepared and painted walls and ceilings in two large rooms, the foyer, stairwell and upstairs hallways. They were recommended to us by our Interior designer, Nancy Faunt. Nancy is a highly regarded designer that works at Parker Furniture. She has worked with Pearl Painters many times before. The owner himself met with us in our home where we discussed the color and finish possibilities from the large sample chips and finish display boards he had brought with him. We were given a price quote at that time, and, after agreeing to the price, we paid a deposit of 1/2 the total. Because we were eager to get the project finished so that the new bookcases could be installed, Pearl Painters fit us in within the week. The painting crew of two were highly professional beginning even before they arrived. The crew leader called ahead on the day before to discuss the project and what to expect from them. They arrived on time each of the three days, did an expert job at masking, priming, texturing as well as prepping the project to protect the windows and the new hardwood floors. The crew worked quickly and expertly, cleaning up at the end of every day, and when then were finished they left us with beautiful new walls and ceilings. We will hire them again soon! more

I'm so glad I went with Pearl Painters!!! 12/9/2010

Pearl Painters (and their associated Academy of Artisan Finishes) were incredibly helpful. No only are they highly knowledgeable on painting projects, but they were able to guide me in the right direction for my interior painting project. I had searched throughout the Portland metro area to find someone who could do a faux painting effect like we wanted on our dining room ceiling. Pearl Painters are conveniently located in Tigard and not only were helpful in their bid for the project, but they offered to teach me how to do it myself if I was interested in this option and wanted to save on some of the cost. Through their Academy of Artisan Finishes, I was able to learn some techniques for getting my desired faux effect. The training academy was great. My wife and I both took the class and were able to paint the ceiling ourselves. We had them come out while we painted for about an hour or so for consulting purposes to make sure we were doing it right, and I am very happy with how helpful they were, how respectful they were and how much time they put into understanding what we wanted and presenting options for getting us there. Their advice and assistance was also tremendous. I'm grateful that they recommended I take the class since I now feel motivated to try a similar project in other parts of the house. Now that I know the art of using a sponge, cheesecloth, chip brushes (and how to mix the paint with glacis), I think I will indeed try this out in other parts of the hosue. And the great thing is that I know I can call them to come and watch me if I'm nervous about anything at all. I would definitely recommend Pearl Painters and their Academy of Artisan Finishes to anybody considering a painting project. I really have no complaint at all with them, their services or their professionalism. more

Fantastic Outcome 12/8/2010

My interior designer suggested I paint my maple fireplace, and recommended Pearl Painters to do the work. I was very apprehensive about painting my beautiful wood a dark color-it was a big surface and a mistake could ruin the look of the room. Judith Spychalski came out and worked with us to create a palette and finish that would look good. When I had budget reservations she worked with us until she got it within my price range, which was no small task as it was half of where we started. She was very communicative and professional and meticulous and the outcome was just breathtaking! I was so glad I took the risk, and feel I was in great hands with Judith. She is extremely talented. I would highly recommend Pearl Painters! more

Pearl Painters are the Best Painters! 11/13/2010

We have used Pearl Painters for three different jobs at our home in Portland. We highly recommend them as they are the most professional, thorough and reliable painters we have ever hired. We initially hired Pearl Painters for interior work - painting our vaulted living/diing room and hallway. Brian spent over an hour helping us go from a vague idea of what colors we wanted into a full blown design scheme, including faux painting in certain areas to highlight the design. The crew was fantastic - they arrived on time, cleaned up thoroughly, and were a pleasure to have in the house. More than that, they did an incredibly high quality job. The lines were perfect and the faux painting was beautiful. After that we hired them to do the exterior of our house which they did in the same professional manner. Just recently we brought them back to do more interior work after a bathroom remodel. We consider them our painters and won't work with anyone else. We only wish all contractors were as reliable and professional as Pearl Painters! more

Best Painter in Lake Oswego 10/25/2010

I recently hired Pearl Painters to paint the exterior of my home. I chose to hire Pearl Painters after receiving 3 other bids from different painting company's. Brian had a great deal of knowledge about the process and was excellent at helping us decide on colors! The contract that was presented to me was extremely detailed, and easy to understand. When Chris and Craig arrived at our house to begin work they were prompt, on time, and easy to communicate with. I was so imressed with the level of quality and attentention to detail that while they were painting the exterior I decided to get a quote too paint several bedrooms. I must say these are the cleanest, most organized painters that I have ever had the pleasure to work with. I would definitely hire them again, my daughter that also lives in Lake Oswego will be getting some work done with Pearl Painters! We are so pleased with the results, they were able to more than satisfy our expectations and my ""critical eye""! Pearl Painters is the best Painting company in the Portland area! more

Best Painters in Portland Area! 10/15/2010

We hired Pearl Painters a year ago to get the exterior of our home painted. Let me just say they did an exceptional job! It happened to be the hottest week of the summer 100+ but yet they worked continuously in the heat and did not compromise their dedication. We were so impressed with their work that we hired them again to do some of our interior. They are knowledgeable and very professional. They take the time to answer any questions that you may have and make you feel comfortable. We will definitely recommend them to our friends and neighbors! Thanks again guys! more
