Whether you're a professional artist, a student working your way up, or simply someone who's feeling creative, this store is amazing. Huge two story building that will leave you with a mind boggling amount of project ideas. Prices aren't always on the items, but the workers are willing to help you find it. I shopped at this location a few years ago and the stock was just horrid, management was awful, and the employees didn't seem to know squat about art. The store is now under new management with a fresh bunch of faces (with a few familiar ones as well), all of whom either know what they're doing or will try their best to help you find the information you need, and are simply fun to chat with. Occasionally, they'll be somewhat rude, but it's important to remember you're doing business with humans in a retail setting, and anyone who's worked a job like that knows it can be rough on the nerves somedays, and sometimes you just can't help but let it show. The only real complaint I have about the store is their inability to order items when they run out, their answer is ""We aren't in charge of ordering, but you can call next week to see if any came in."" The best part is they give a 10% discount to teachers and students who have proof, they'll accept a current school ID or even a syllabus or class list! They also have an elevator for the lazy or handicapped, and a public restroom.
Pros: Large selection of items, parking lot, friendly employees, great prices.
Cons: Inability to special order single items, pricetags seem to grow legs and run away frequently.
