This is the place to go if you want to try authentic Indian food. There lunch buffet is the best bet and features a range of appetizers, vegetarian and non vegetarian curries, rice, salad, bread and sweet dish. With such an extensive menu, everyone is sure to find stuff suiting to one's palate. Nice ambience, great customer service makes it a unique dining experience. Yipes! I just logged on to find a new Indian restaurant for dinner tonight on the north shore and saw the most recent review of Peacock where someone really had a terrible experience with the waitstaff... Man, let me assure you that this is not consistently the case. I am a regular customer at this restaurant and I really enjoy the food and find the service to be pretty decent, if not really good all of the time. I have been going to this restaurant for a very long time. I was a patron before they moved the restaurant from their location across Rte 21 (and no, I don't work for the restaurant!) more

I went there once even after reading the couple of bad reviews in this site...what a huge mistake it was.. .the staff was totally unprofessional and they do not qualify to be in the service industry by any means. This is the BEST there is and as close to India you can get. Wonderful owner and staffs. Friendly, warm and you are treated like a King or Queen. Makes you want to go again and again. Excellent dishes, the softest Indian bread and delicious curries. Go and enjoy. Pros: Thumbs up more

I tried to throw my parents 25th anniversary party at this restaurant, and they treated me poorly because I am female. I contacted them 2 months prior to the event so as to ensure that they would be able to give me the entire restaurant for my party (my party was about 100 people). The manager ensured me that I would be able to have the entire restaurant and quoted me the price per person. After they had taken my deposit, they proceeded to call me and tell me that the owner did not want to give me the restaurant for my party because I was not paying enough money, only 2 WEEKS before the party! I was forced to find another venue, reprint invitations, and apologize to all of my guests because of Peacock India's greedy and dishonest practices. I go to Peacock for lunch and they have the most fantastic buffet. All you can eat samosa's, naan, paneer, curry chicken and more. They rotate the menu so you can try different things! The best is their mango ice cream for dessert!! Service is attentive and nice. If you like Indian food you will not be dissapointed. Pros: Buffet is well worth the value more
