Peace of Mind

Peace of mind in Brandon FL might not appear to be the most welcoming tattoo or piercing shop but i have gone twice for piercings and have never been disappointed. Once about 9 or 10 years ago for a belly button piercing which healed without any complications. Less than a year or so ago for a private VCH piercing. I felt absolutely confident that he was taking the necessary steps by being clean, making me feel comfortable and relaxed. He told me what to expect and was helpful when my adrenaline rush started to make me sweat and almost pass out. I would go back for anything else! The actual shop might not seem the cleanest because it is not strictly for tattoos and piercings but the process of having the piercing done was. It was also much cheaper compared to having to pay $100 accross the street for the same piercing. I would recommend it to anyone wanting a piercing at an affordable price. I am not good with names but the piercer was older. Most likely the shop owner since his x wife was the one that did my first piercing ages ago. more

This shop may not be all glamour but I met my per fect artist in 5 minutes, highly skilled in b and w skulls. a perfect match. These crapy mall shops suck ass! more

I went there a year ago and although the building was not beautifully decorated and a little dusty...their actual tattoo room was very clean and they did GREAT work. The artist was very experienced and professional, easy to chat with. The girl that worked there wasnt overly friendly, but remember, they are also busy selling bail bonds and bongs! I got my monroe pierced in daytona. the guy didnt use the right size bar bell and my skin grew over it. i called Peace of Mind because my bf recommended it...the guy had to surgically remove my piercing. it was getting infected, and it needed to be taken out. he didnt even charge me. the service was great! i will never go anywhere else for any piercing/tattoo ever again! Look if you are going to get a tattoo, something that is basically permanent you need to be set on what you want to get in the first place as well as know where you want in. While you are in the tattoo shop be vocal about what you want and where. When they put the paper on you for the guide you need to tell them if somethings not right instead of just going and continuing with the process. I went there about a year ago for my tattoo and they let me look in the mirror at where the guide was and what the outline would look like before going near the needles. If what I saw wasnt exactly how I wanted it they would take it off and try again until they got it right. You cant leave what goes on you body solely to the person putting it there especially if your the one paying for it and have to see it everyday and if you do you cant blame them if it doesnt come you to your liking. I went to this shop and there was filthy carpet through out you can tell its never been cleaned. It stunk like cigarette smoke. The staff was rude and did not seem to know what they were talking about. I went to get a piercing with some friends and he used the same pair of pliers on all of us without cleaning them. There was no where to sit and wait and no bathroom to use as there was an out of order sign on it. When I got tattooed my friend asked if she could sit and watch and was denied a chair and was told sorry about your luck. I would never return to this shop the whole experience was horrible. All i had to do was call to find out that this place is NO GOOD. She didnt answer my questions, wouldnt give me a price range and then after all that she said she didnt even have an artisit in today!?? WTF. Pros: nothing Cons: everything more

I went to peace of mind about a year ago to get my koi tattoo. It was a very clean environment, tons of stuff to choose from. The only thing it really lacked was my tattoo artist wasn't a very good conversationalist, and barely talked to me the whole two and a half hours of being there, which was a little awkward, but in the end he did an amazing job on my tattoo. I recommend to anyone that if you want a clean environment and a wicked tattoo, got to peace of mind. Pros: Envrionment Cons: Conversation more

I only go to Peace of Mind to get my peircings and tattoos. I got my belly button done there and I had no problems with it. I got my tounge there it hasnt got infected like a lot of people I know that get thier tounges done do. I also go my tattoo done there and Green Hair Mike is awesome. He is so crazy and knows how to make u laugh. U dont feel worried. I trusted him to do my tattoo. He talks to u and makes u feel comfortable. I would recommend them. I went to another place and got my nose done and it kept getting infected and all. So I wouldnt go any where else. I trust them completely. They do an awesome job. When I got my tattoo done he told me they would be addictive I didnt believe him at first but now I do b/c I want more and I know I will go there. I love my tattoo. I couldnt figure out what to get I knew I wanted something to do with Eagles in memory of my grandaddy and green hair Mike said he would try something and put the drawing on my back and before he did the tattoo I was to let him know if I liked it or not and he would do something else if I didnt. I LOVE IT. If it wouldnt of been for him I would of gotten a big tattoo and like he said for the first tattoo u dont want a big one b/c then u will really big in a pain and I thank him so much b/c of him I love my tattoo and Im glad he pointed out what I should do. Went here for my first tattoo. They barely seemed to care at all about my tattoo. The customer service wasn't great and the artist didn't get the screen completely on my foot. He then proceeded to fill in the blank spots with marker and in the end, my tattoo turned out uneven and had a mistake. The tattoo looks okay to the lay person's eye, but I know there are a few things that are wrong. The tattoo artist should have suggested better placement (especially since I wasn't set on it). He should also have redone the screen because my tattoo is in braille and he knew how important it was to me that it come out right. But he reassured me that it would be fine and I trusted him. I like the tattoo in general, but I would never go back and I would never recommend this place to anyone else. I have a feeling that the artists that everyone mentioned in the above reviews aren't there anymore! I could be wrong, but I didn't think that they cared about my tattoo at all! I am very new to the tattoo world and this was not the first place i stoped at. I was very worried about how my first tat would turn out. Green Hair Mike was the first, out of all the shops i had been to, to act like he even cared about my tattoo. He was great. Very informative and to the point. If i told him i wanted something and asked his opinion he wouldn't try and sell the tat he would tell me That will look like crap. So i fainally got my first and only tattoo. But there addictive and mike is cool so now mike is working on my seventh tat. Please don't mess with any other shop in brandon or tampa just come to peace of mind and ask for Green Hair Mike!!!! I Really get annoyed by Some people That work there But i like the work of one of there artists there or should i say the only one I let touch me Just my opinion dont get mad anyone sometimes its just not ment for certain people to be in certain types of proffesions but i agree with the other reviews on the artist Oh ya lots of Flash Peace more

Peace Of Mind is one of the only original existing tatt shops in Brandon if you are serious about getting inked and not dealing with a bunch of teenagers hanging out this is the place David Keifer is the real thing HardCore and a outstanding Artist He enjoys what he does and it makes you enjoy being there and not feeling like your having your kid scribble on you I highly Recommend if you are serious about the quality of your work and dont want some kid practicing on you This is your Place.................. more

I also agree Dave is a great artist He truly enjoys his work and it shows with every piece he has a hand of gold and is a Down artist with a PROMISING FUTURE wouldnt get tatted from anyone else I highly recommend him............. more

Shawn from the Tattoo Factory works there. He is a great artist. Everyone there does good work. The prices are right in line with other shops. The shop is very clean. I have recived every tattoo I got from them. I am now on my 16th tattoo. Pros: clean, good parking more
