The Harvard University Peabody Museum and the connected Museum of Natural History are the most underrated museums in the Boston area, and perhaps the most overlooked in the whole country. For one low price, patrons could visit both museums and visit exhibits on Archaeology, Botany, Zoology, and Ethnology. The exhibits here are exquisite, rare and well taken care of. Most notable is the special attention paid to the Lewis and Clark expositon and the animal exhibits.
This is truly an awesome museum, but be warned to not visit during the warmer months as it is not climate-controlled for summer heat.
