What can I say about the fairytale wedding that we had at the Payne Corley House. From the first moment that I spoke to Hope, till we were given Janet, the most wonderful wedding coordinator there has ever been, to the start of the day, from the STAFF: AMAZING, FOOD: TO DIE FOR, thank you Michael! Janet took care of the kids from the moment they arrived, till shipping them off with more food than they could have ate in a week! None of us can even get back to work. Too busy talking about the amazing day!!!! I can tell you that it was more than Samantha and Matthew could have ever dreamed of. They say pictures say a thousand words, so all you have to do is look at their faces!!! Thank you Buysman Photography for unbelievable wedding photo's! Thank you Charles (Black Tie) the best DJ ever! Celso's Cake: outstanding! And the most beautiful flowers in the world, thank you Shirley and Frances: Country Designs, and making the bride so beautiful: Jennifer, Formal Faces, the best!!! We love you Janet, Hope, Payne Corley House, we will never forget the amazing day!!!! Thank you from the Mother of the Bride more

Ward/Keller Wedding 6/7/2010

If we had to do our wedding all over again, we would not change a thing about it especially the venue where we held our wedding, The Payne-Corley House. When we first got engaged, my fiancé and I started the large task of hunting down the perfect ceremony and reception site. We visited about five different venues that were all large white southern plantations, but none of the venues felt like the perfect place to hold our wedding until we arrived at The Payne-Corley house. From the first moment I stepped into the house, I knew it was the only place for us. I think I was even surer about it than my wedding dress! I am so glad that I ended up choosing the Payne-Corley House. Krista and everyone on staff made my wedding unique and absolutely perfect. Krista was able to incorporate everything that I wanted for the wedding, from having our ceremony in front of the house to allowing hanging Chinese lanterns in the trees. Michael, her husband and chef, made a delicious dinner for all our guests, and I continue to get rave reviews about the food even now, two months after we have been married. I chose to go with the “inclusive package” that included food and beverage, DJ, a cake designer, and florist, and I am so glad I did. It made the wedding process less stressful, and For Goodness Cakes, our cake baker, and Abby’s Floral Design, our florist, incorporated everything I wanted and exceeded my expectations! I am extremely happy that I chose The Payne-Corley house for my wedding venue. I would recommend it to any future brides, because I had the most fabulous wedding I could ever imagine. I wish I could do it all over again! more

Wonderful Wedding 9/17/2009

We held our daughter's wedding and reception at the Payne-Corley House last weekend, and it was a beautiful occasion. The gracious old southern manor-house, lovely porches and gardens, and wedding gazebo with lawn seating provided just the kind of warm, easy-going charm and ambiance we wanted for our event. I can't say enough about our wedding co-ordinator or the rest of the staff. They were a pleasure to work with -- flexible, helpful, and generous with their ideas, expertise, and resources. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, and the existing decor and accessories set the stage with minimal additions. It's hard to put on an inexpensive wedding, but P-C's prices were competitive, and we received a LOT for our money. I highly recommend the Payne-Corley House for weddings and receptions. Pros: Wonderful, warm staff and venue Cons: I can't think of one! more

I can't imagine going anywhere else 3/12/2008

I just attended a wedding at PC and I can't rave enough about this place. The Staff was excellent, the food was divine and the venue was beautiful. I've planned many corporate events at many venues in Atlanta and if we weren't too big for PC, I would have our events here. If you have an event for under 200 - This place is a must! Pros: The food, the staff, the venue - EVERYTHING! Cons: I only wish it could hold more than 200 for a sit down event. more

A Must for Brunch! 4/6/2006

My husband took me to the Payne-Corley House for Mother's Day Brunch last year. It was so wonderful, we're going back for Easter Brunch this year! It is by far the best brunch we've ever been to, we highly recommend it. more

Duluth charm and Buckhead food 10/15/2005

This place is fantastic....I love the old southern charm of the house. I have been to two events there and both have been outstanding. You can tell that there is a real chef at the helm and the service is equal too a Buckhead hotel. Pros: quality of food, Charming, Service Cons: a bit of a drive more

Awesome Brunch! 8/15/2005

We went there for Mother's Day brunch and everything was wonderful. The selections were plentiful and the service was exceptional. We had gone to one of their competitors for Easter Brunch a month prior. There was no comparison. We have been invited to a wedding there next month and are looking forward to the food again Kudos to the chef! more

Perfect social setting! 4/15/2005

The food was absolutely fantastic at the wedding I attended. I was surprised to find out that the facility was being run by former Ritz-Carlton executives. The chef is a former Ritz-Carlton Executive Chef! The place is like a tiny little piece of nirvana tucked away in the historic downtown area of Duluth. I highly recommend it for any social occasion or brunch. Pros: Food, Service, Atmosphere more
