I am a current patient at the Stanford Medical Outpatient Center for Orthopedics & Sports Medicine. My physician, Dr. Raj Mitra, suggested aqua therapy, which was the only thing I hadn't tried, for my back pain due to scoliosis. \r

My therapy lasted 3 months at Payne-Murphy and Dr. Mitra had seen me twice during that time, and he was very impressed with my aqua therapy & the therapist and my huge improvement. After I finished my prescribed therapy, I signed up for the indepepndent sessions they offer. I love my time in the water, and the added benefit was that I lost weight while having fun and improving my back.\r

Needless to say, I no longer ""need"" to have surgery on my back and my Doctor is very impressed. I will continue taking care of my back and doing aqua exercise in order to be pain free. \r

Dr. Mitra said he had several patients from this area and he was going to recommend Payne-Murphy to them because he was so impressed with their program. I agree.
