Snort Snort 1/16/2006

I was scared about taking the kids here because I did not know how well behaved the animals where. However it was a wonderful decision. The farm is small and you get the feeling the owners have a strong sense of family because they are so friendly. The most surprising thing abbot the whole trip was when my son actually had a snake around his neck. I was so shocked but the animal was friendly and nothing bad happened. They also have pis and it was so cute because my daughter was snorting like a pig in hopes the pig would snort back! I had so mush fun my self because I love animals. more

Toddler Heaven! 10/23/2005

I had no idea how much fun we were going to have when we got to PAWS farm. The first building was an indoor play center which included two trains sets, and pretend picnic area with grill included, house, boat and more. Beyond that is a path you can walk along. Along the path are several wooden climbing structures in the form of a train, boat and others. They are a lot of push/pull and ride on toys that your tot can grab and use down the path. The next house contained a pretend vet clinic and a room with small animals such as snakes and rabbits. Yet another building, the barn, had a pretend grocery store, magnets, a dairy farm video, chalkboard, etc. They do have animals (I didn't spend much time there). We saw pigs, a donkey, swan, and sheep. A lot of bang for your buck here and they are open seven days a week. more

Great for the younger kids 8/17/2005

Paws is the ultimate school trip locale. In case your little one's school skips this place it is a gem. There is a butterfly garden which is chock full of plants that attract the insects. There are 60 or so animals on display. There is a farmhouse with interactive displays, books to look at, and great informative displays. There are many hards on displays to try out as you walk all around this little farm. Younger kids just love this place! more

Enjoyment for the whole family 7/13/2005

If you are looking for something to do for the kids this summer, but want it to be fun for you too, then go see the animals at Paws Farm Nature Center. Paws is a small farm that is very child friendly. They have been around for over 30 years now. I remember going to Paws for a class trip and just a few months ago my own daughter did the same. You can take the kids here for the day and even bring a picnic lunch. more
