Paws At Play

DON'T TAKE YOUR DOGS HERE! I dropped my 2 very small dogs off for 2 days of boarding and came back to a nearly $500 bill. Unnecessary blood, fecal, examinations that appeared fraudulent. At best, it would be common courtesy to call and say hey, your bill is getting high. But no call, nothing. I am livid! more

Something is up. The Wake Weekly reported that one of their employees was arrested for embezzlement yesterday. I also started getting reminder cards for my pets when I've never been to their vet...found out they were using my records from the previous vet at that location. When I called to ask how they could do that, I was told I'd get a return call...which never came. more

This place is a complete rip off. They use their kennel as a front to drive more business to their veterinary care facility. I arrived to drop my dogs off on the way out of town and they conveniently forgot to tell me I needed them de-wormed which they would gladly do for $60. Whatever, I had a choice at that point? When I got to pick my dogs up, they charged me $166 for it. I talked to my vet and they said this was 100% NOT NEEDED based on their heartworm medication. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE more

like most pet owners, i love my dog. she is part of our family and i prefer not to go places that do not accept her, but there are those times when that is unavoidable. paws at play took excellent care of sophie and she was returned to us happy, healthy, clean and very well looked after. i highly recommend paws at play to anyone who is particular about who looks after their pet(s) when they're away. :) j coley Pros: safe enviroment, caring, compassionate, professional Cons: pricey but worth it if you dont want to worry while away more

We have used Paws At Play for about three years. My reservation is always handled professionally. We are greeted and processed quickly. The facility is top notch. I know that my dogs are in good care when we are away. Unfortunately the cost of good boarding can be high. But, you get what you pay for... I always have peace of mind when are animals are boarded here. Pros: Best hours more

Don't let caniac26 ruin your chance to experience the best boarding place in Wake Forest. I was at Paws At Play the day he picked up his cat and this gentleman was way out of line. He boarded his cat for 9 days and did not want to pay anything when he picked up. He made such a scene that the police department was dispatched. I have been using Paws At Play for 3 years and would never go anywhere else. Their prices are very fair for the care your pet receives and is posted on their website and in there office. I felt sorry for the poor ladies in the office that had to deal with this bully trying to badger them into releasing his cat to him with no payment. It's people like this that are out to get something for nothing and tarnish the name of a great business because their tactics failed to let them take advantage of a smalll business. They misrepresent their pricing and when you refuse to pay for more than the amount you agreed to pay they hold your pet hostage not allowing you to retrieve your animal. Read their contracts closely. Their service is over priced. You would be better served keeping your pet else where. more
