My experience with Pawderosa has been great! The staff has always been very professional and accommodating. Their prices are reasonable and the shuttle service to the airport is a great "plus". I have recommended them to several friends who have become loyal customers as well. They know me and my dog, Fletcher, by name....even when they haven't seen me in months. They care about relationships, not just my business. more

Pawderosa Ranch is AMAZING!!! 9/22/2009

My dogs and I love Pawderosa on Clydeville! They stayed for TWO MONTHS there, and while it was torture for me, they were in GREAT hands with the wonderful staff... Especially Matt and Eric. They played constantly, and it was so much fun to see them on the webcam everyday. I hope I'll never need to be out of town that long again, but if I do, my pups are definitely going back to Pawderosa. Thank you sooooo much! more

Pawderosa to the Rescue! 7/28/2009

Pawderosa really came through for me and my pet. My regular sitter was out of town and my work schedule changed unexpectedly. I called Pawderosa...no problem! they took my care of my pooch everyday of my sitter's absence. I was so thrilled with the experience, that I have made plans to send my pup there several times a week. He always comes home "dog" tired ... I love it! Having my dog at Pawderosa gives me a sense of relief knowing that he is not only getting to use up all his stored energy, but that he is continually socialized with other animals and he is be attended to by humans as well. My Dog Loves This Place! 5/12/2009

This doggie day care is the best in town. My dog loves going to Pawderosa for play days. He comes home tired and ready to relax. They care for dogs staying there as if they were there own. I would never take my dog anywhere else. We both love it!!!! more

It's a dog's life at "The Ranch" 5/4/2009

My dog, Maya, loves "The Ranch". She enjoys playing and socializing with other non-aggressive dogs. She has overnighted there many times and I believe she looks forward to her visits. We have also used the dog day care option - half or full day. The facility is definitely geared to "dog" and "dog" people will recognize this immediately. The facility offers a self-serve dog wash or you can have the staff do it for you. If your dog stays more than a couple of nights - it would be a good thing to have a bath scheduled before pickup ....... as their warning reads " your dog will get dirty here"! I also feel comfortable knowing that there is a webcam to view dogs at play and that there is someone there 24/7. This is a great "resort" for your dog - try it - especially if you don't like your dog kenneled in a vet clinic. There's also another facility in Schertz if the San Antonio airport location is not convenient ..... Pros: wonderful staff; excellent boarding facility more

Very clean, odor free facility. Friendly staff. Safe & Secure play areas. Webcam. Open 7 days, Great hours and pricing. Super location. My 3 dogs have been canine customers for about 3 years. Highly recommend to all dog owners. Great socializition opportunity. more

You won?t be disappointed! 3/31/2009

My dog has been coming to Pawderosa Ranch since 2006 and I can?t say enough good things about this great place. She goes crazy whining as soon as we pull onto the street and can?t wait to see her friends, and she is always happy and exhausted when I pick her up. She goes for daycare weekly and also has been boarded a few times. I feel great never having to worry about her as I can always watch her on the cameras which gives me proof that she is being cared for and happy. Owners Mike & Kim are wonderful people and their staff are always great with the dogs. Let your doggies check out Pawderosa Ranch, you won?t be disappointed. more

Hands down the best dog ranch in San Antonio!! 3/24/2009

I have tried just about all of the dog ranches in San Antonio and Pawderosa Ranch is unmatched. They are well priced and truly care for the animals. I have never seen my dog Lucky, a shepherd mix, so excited to spend a day at a dog ranch. I would HIGHLY recommend this business to any pet owner for play days, bathing, grooming and/or overnight visits. They truly go above and beyond for your pet!! more

Best doggie day care in San Antonio 3/13/2009

We've been bringing our terrier mix to Pawderosa since shortly after they opened in 2006 and have never been disappointed. Our dog's tail starts wagging like crazy when she realizes she's going to "The Ranch" (usually right after we turn off Nakoma) and she?s dog tired by the end of the day from playing so hard. They take great care of our dog, whether she's there for doggie day care or for an extended stay when we're out of town. One of the few places that isn't prejudiced against "difficult" breeds -- they'll accept any breed as long as your dog is well socialized. Their Bark-n-Ride program is wonderful for when we need to drop of our dog before going to the airport (and saves us a ton on airport parking). The owners, Mike & Kim, hold GREAT dog-&-owner parties for Halloween and St. Patty's. more

My dog loves it:) 3/9/2009

When my dog gets in my car, she knows that she's headed for her favorite place...Pawderosa Ranch! She goes for doggie daycare and loves every minute of it. I know she loves it because I watch her on their webcam from work and see her playing with their friendly staff and playing with the other dogs. Best dog boarding in Texas 3/5/2009

Your dog will love to see the suitcases come out if it means he's spending time at the Ranch! Bark & Ride service is a fantastic alternative to airport parking and Mike and Kim and their staff take care of the dogs who are there for boarding or daycare as though they were their own dogs. You'll never feel guilty again for leaving your dog while you go on vacation! Pros: Personal attention to all dogs and their owners, super clean facilities, all day play - nobody's sitting in a kennel during the day Cons: Baths are a little expensive and the dogs get super dirty while they play more

  • Established in 2006 Pawderosa Ranch is a locally-owned company that was started by San Antonio Native Kim Smith and Atlanta-born "Got to Texas as fast as I could" Mike Mitchell. Mike was raised in Atlanta but after college, he served our country with the USMC. After his service, he moved back to Atlanta and decided that playing with dogs all day was just what he needed.Having lived in Atlanta for a few years after college, Kim discovered the fun that was "off-leash play" for dogs. She decided it was time to move back home and offer San Antonio pups the same excitement and socialization opportunity. Our Airport location was opened in 2006 and Schertz was opened in 2008.Both locations have been host to hundreds of wonderful dogs and their fabulous families. We have enjoyed many great times with them all. Though we knew there would be challenging times in starting this venture from the ground up, we grabbed the dog by the tail and have created an enviroment that your dog will love. Come play!.
