The food from Paul's is very tasty and the service was great. I ordered a couple of beef sandwiches and when I opened my bag I got two subs. I called to let them know and somebody ran out right away with the correct sandwiches and they let me keep the subs at no extra charge. They were very polite about the whole mix up. I will order from them again! more

Bad Pizza 8/26/2009

We ordered a large sausage pizza last night, it arrived in a timely a fashion. When we opened the box a big portion of the cheese/sausage had slid off the pizza into a corner of the box. Looked like a blob. The crust was not cooked and remined me of the Boboli doughs that you get at Dominicks. We had company so some was eaten, I did bring the blob of chease and a slice back to Pauls. They were nice and offered to replace it. told them I wasn't looking for anything. I just wanted to make sure they are aware of the food qualitity goining out the door. Dont think I will order from them again Pros: first time customer Cons: Bad Pizza more

best garlic beef and cheese in chicago and suburbs 8/22/2007

all of the food is great fresh homemade sauce.the garlic beef and cheese is killer!!! pasta dishes are huge paul is always there and greets you like he knows who.and prices are great. Pros: beefs are huge and tasty !!pasta is homemade and fresh Cons: gets packed during lunch and dinner get there early or no seats more

All the reviews are pretty much dead on. It's not just beefs and hotdogs, though. The lasagna on Thursdays is huge. My favorite has become the broasted chicken special on Mondays. Stop in for the dogs and beef and stay for the rest. Pros: Huge portions, great food Cons: The Combo will fill you up for a week. more

Definitely the Stuff That Attracts Regulars 11/3/2005

I go to Pauls all the time. The pizza is pretty good although a bit inconsistent. One of the few places I know of that still serves foot long hot dogs. But Pauls claim to fame are his Italian Beef Sandwiches. 11 inches of great eating. Definitely a bang for your food buck. Pros: Great Food, Paul Himself, The Beef! Cons: Sometimes Crowded more

It is the best Italian Beef I have ever had. You can order garlic bread, cheese on beef, hot peppers, and / or juice. I like hot and juice. more

Worth the drive 6/14/2005

I moved to the Chicago area in 2002 and a good friend took me to Paulie's for lunch....I was HOOKED!! where else can you eat a great beef for less than $5 and at the end have an ice cream cone for a buck to put the burn out on your lips from his great giardiniera!! wow! I live in Pontiac, IL now and drive up once every two weeks just for a beef! And I buy in bulk to bring some home.....big hit in central IL now! Great service, fun to sit in the booth and watch TV and great crew! Pizza is awesome as well....thanx Paulie and crew! AJ Pros: Price, Service, Taste more

The best for beef, no doubt 12/6/2002

I have been going to this place for years and it is the best deal around for beef fans. 11 inch beef with cheese for under $4...you can't beat it. Get there early for lunch, it can definetly get crowded. The service is prompt and always friendly....got to say I liked the old location better though. Pros: inexpensive, large serving, good service more
