Paul's is THE best in town! 1/2/2003

I still have not eaten a better steak in all ways (portion, taste, cooking) anywhere else in Albuquerque. Paul's service is also the absolute very best in town. A customer is completely taken care of when dining at Paul's Monterey Inn. No other restaurant in town can compare! Pros: Quality Service, Quality Food more

overrated 12/6/2002

Dark, dated, dirty, with marginal food and downright hostile service from our waitress. The food was edible, but nothing to write home about. This restaurant's reputation rides mostly on its longevity, but the 'early dungeon' decor as well as the menu hasn't been updated since the '70's. Apparetly, you either love or hate Paul's. I haven't uncovered anybody who is neutral. Sorry I wasted my time and money there. more

Atmosphere. Nostalgia. A good piece of meat. A drink with liquor in it. A professional sevice staff. More Frank and Dean or Bing. More Sammy than Peter. More Ella than Elvis. Can you say Telly Savalas? I am talking cool, baby. A slice out of a time. If we blink it could be gone. Dont miss it!
