Just what I needed 3/23/2009

What a gem! I was so pleased to walk into a small downtown store and find everthing I nedded, without having to ask for help. I can tell by how busy it was that the intown elderly clientelle have been satisfied by this market for many years. I did meet the wner, Paul, a true throwback to the grocers of older more simple times. I'd like to see them rehab some, perhaps enhancing the look of a 1950's or 60's era market, but not if it means raising the prices, which are fine right where they are!! more

Paul's Food Centers 3/20/2006

The most disgusting looking place. The signage out front is falling apart. The signs in the window look like they were printed on a printer from the early 1990s. The outside appearances makes the store look so scummy, I would never want to step foot in here. Take the hike to the Hannaford on Forest St. if you are looking for groceries. Paul's is also such a tiny store, I can't imagine they would have much to offer in way of variety to product. This would be the place to go if I desperately needed a gallon of milk, but that would be it. more
