I’ve had 3 root canals done by Dr. Showers and have had excellent outcomes each time. I’m very surprised at some of the negative comments I see here. He’s not odd or strange - he’s soft-spoken & professional. And he’s focusing on a very intricate procedure - which requires his full attention His office is on the small side - but who cares about something as insignificant as that? When evaluating an endodontist, neither the size nor the decor of his office should matter. And I might add, his office is not dirty! However, they did tell me they’ll be relocating to another office on Aug 1st. I find Dr. Showers to be personable and caring. After my procedure, he took the time to go over my xrays and explain every step of the root canal procedure. Each time I’ve been in, he’s always joked with me and been very congenial. His staff is most pleasant, as well. I hope I never need to have another root canal - but if I do - I will only go to him. I’ve also referred him to friends and relatives. more

Don't go here! Just today, I had to have a SECOND root canal retreated! Showers initially treated both my maxillary 1st molars, but missed a 4th canal in both. He does not utilize modern technology, just "hopes he got it all." Don't risk your health by going here! more

My entire experience at the office of Dr. Paul Showers was wonderful. His staff is very friendly and competent. I was seen on time and they made sure I was comfortable during the appointment. The procedure was able to be completed in one visit and I never felt a thing. This was not my first experience with Dr. Showers. I continue to be impressed by his professionalism and the skill he displays his field. more

I saw Dr. Showers as a referral from my dentist after I was in severe pain from a cracked molar. Dr. Showers performed a root canal on my tooth and it was completely pain free. I was a little hesitant that I would not be numbed up enough but he reassured me and made sure I was properly numbed before proceeding. I honestly was very comfortable during the procedure. It is a year later, and I had a permanent crown placed over the tooth, and am fine. I would highly recommend him. more

Unbelievable lack of skills and compassion. Irrevocably damaged teeth and oral structures in not One, but Two family members. One required emergency oral surgery after her "treatment" by Showers. The other is attempting to salvage an inept root canal, and may need an implant. Avoid!! more

I would not recommend this sad excuse of a doctor to anyone!! His office was dirty and completely outdated. I did not feel comfortable from the moment I walked in the door. He had the worst attitude and completely lacked professionalism. I felt rushed the whole time I was there. He proceeded to work on my tooth when I was not numb and told me it was in my head that I was feeling it! His instruments were dirty and his chair had spots of blood on it. He failed to answer my questions and even gave me attitude when I asked them. 4 months after he had worked on my tooth I had to have it extracted. I would never recommend his "services" to anyone! more

I have had several rootcanals done there and was the best rootcanals I have ever received. I have gone to others before him and all were horrible. I will continue going if ever need to go again and will highly recommend going there. I have referred close personal friends to him and were very happy with his work. I have worked in the dental field and know how patients are with getting rootcanals and what to expect. It was a great experience. His staff was very friendly and welcoming. Concerned with my comfort. Will recommend again. more

Had a very bad experience with him on my root canal. Paid $1000 and he put holes through bottom of my tooth, filled them with a silver material that shouldn't have been used. Never even told me he put holes in the bottom of tooth. Dentist was led to believe it was successful and put crown on tooth. 4 years later eaks around the silver material led to very bad infection. Showers wanted another $1000 to try to fix. Most endontists stand behind their work and don't recharge. I ended up having it redone by another Endodontist who was able to save the tooth. Very bad experience! more

I liked the treatment. Gave dental insurance to the nurse and she called me back the next day to advise that there is only $50 left on my dental for the year and we rescheduled it for the next year. I wouldn't judge a doctor by his mood but by his competence. AAA++ for doctor showers. more

Dr. Showers is rather odd. His office is very small and no frills. I have no complaints about the work, but I wouldn't go back based on personality. He's like a moody woman and very arrogant. Who needs it. more

When I had to get a root canal, this is the dentist I went to see. They specialize in oral surgery, and multiple family members have seen him over the years. They made things as painless as possible, and I've been satisfied with the work they did to my teeth. As with any doctor, it's probably best to make sure they'll take your dental insurance. more
