Dr. Paul Rubin and staff are the best! 6/16/2010

My hats off to Dr Paul Rubin and his staff! First of all I was pleasantly surprised to be greeted by a professional and friendly staff during my first visit. I was suffering from lower back pain and tightness that effected most of my daily activites. I was sceptical of Chiropractic treatment but wanted to try something other than medicine. My first treatment made me a believer. I felt great and right away I noticed that I was able to bend over and tie my shoes without pain. Furthur treatments almost completely eliminated all tightness and pain that I had been experiencing for years. Thank you Dr Rubin you really made a difference! I feel young again!!! Pros: Great experience. more

Excellent Care Amidst the Healthcare Storm 2/12/2010

Despite the gaps in and changes of insurance the last 4 months,Dr.Paul is and has been my port in the storm.Having Psoriatic rheumatoid arthritis, there were many changes in my health insurance and an infusion therapy covered by one,was not by the other..So,as an alternative to help with the onset of winter problems medically,I felt it was time to go back to chiropractic.Dr.Paul Rubin, was in the insurance I had chosen, and we met and he Listened and understood all that I was telling him. Also,he has a very healing touch, and actually is like the spine and body whisperer. He has a gift for knowing where and how to treat you just from what you tell him.I have benfitted as I take less high powered pain meds, and he keeps my body on an even keel.Insurances need to open up and help patients with helping themselves, and allowing these services to be treated as if going to a regular MD>DOmore

Highly recommended Chiropractor! 2/15/2008

Dr. Rubin fixed my neck issues. I went for a 3 week trip to Italy with a very heavy back pack. While there, my neck started 'clicking' every time I turned right and left. It was loud, although not painful. \r Thanks to Dr. Rubin I do not have this issue any longer. It was my first time to a Chiropractor, so he took time to educate me on his profession and why my body was reacting, he made me feel comfortable right away. Glad I didn't just take medicine....which is what most of the population does. Prevention need to be part of the medical vocabulary...\r Thanks Dr. Rubin! \r Highly recommended...and right in the heart of the city. more

Unbelievable 2/15/2008

As a ""nightlife veteran,"" on my feet till 5 in the AM, aches and pains are my best friends. Add to that not enough sleep, poor eating habits, etc. etc., and you got yourself some issues. So I've been going to the gym, playing basketball three times a week and working out, but my hip has been hurting as a result. I went to get an x-ray, and apparently, my L5 or whatever is a little lopsided, something they say is quite common--""everybody favors a side."" Whatever. It hurts, so I went to see this guy in Philly that my brother goes to. Dr. Paul Rubin. Before going, I heard every chiropractor rumor there was, the ""quack"" this, the ""addiction"" that. What made me go was this article which talks about medicine being the ""quick and easy"" way out of things, whereas actual body adjustments and straightening of your spinal cord where all the nerves run through is WAY better. Anyways, he had me turn this way and that, each time cracking my body up, and though at first I didn't feel my hip problem go away, the next few weeks I DID NOT experience that same hip pain, and it wasn't because all of a sudden I decided to stretch properly. The SCARIEST thing was when he cracked my back while I was laying on my stomach. He said it would clear the sinus issues I was having this Winter. I was like ""yeah, right,"" but when I turned over on my back after the adjustment, my nasal passages started clearing up!!!!!! I could feel the slowly opening, and it was weird. Not sure if I'm a believer just yet, but I'm definitely going back because I like being able to get up from my computer without wincing in pain, and I DEFINITELY like not having snort nasal spray twice a day. I couldn't smell my wife's banana bread anymore!!!! THANK YOU, DR. RUBIN!!!!! Pros: personality, consideration, care, attention, miraculous effects Cons: parking more

I have been adjusted by Dr. Rubin on many occasions to relieve back pain usually caused by me pushing myself too hard or doing something stupid. He gets me in and out quick and goes out of his way to make sure I understand the source of the pain and what I can do to prevent it from happening again. I recommend him highly! more

Bad Care 2/12/2008

I went to Dr. Rubin with elbow problems, and he did a procedure on me that was suppose to help my elbow pain, but it increased the pain 10 fold. My elbows felt like it was on fire. He did not inform me that there was a possibility that I might have this reaction. When i phoned him to ask about it, he said ""I don't know"" and handed the phone back to his assistant. What an uncaring man. If you have pain, go to a physiotherapist or a REAL doctor. Chiropracters are quack doctors, and Dr Rubin is a piece of ______ . fill in the blank Pros: located right in center city Cons: bad follow up service more
