I have been going to Colours for years and have seen several stylists and I have never had a bad experience there. The stylists are all very well educated and their expertise is evident through both their cuts and colors. I've been recommending my friends there and they have never been disappointed either - an allaround top notch salon!!! more

The experiences I've had at Colours have only been exceptional ones. The front desk has always been so hospitable and makes me feel comfortable; the range of stylists not only gave flexibility in price but helped me gauge what services I wanted. Most important for me: the products! They carry Bumble & Bumble, Kerastase, and the luxury line Oribe. I've always been in love with the first two, but getting the chance to have Oribe used on my hair was a real treat - a great present for anyone who loves products. Overall, I felt that this was a premier salon that really stood out from all the ""below par"" establishments in Boulder and there is without a doubt no other salon I'd trust my hair to. I have had a hard time finding someone to give me natural looking blonde hilights(not chunky). My stylist did a great job, and gave me a beautiful cut too. She was friendly and gave me a good blowdry too. I will definitely go back. more

I really enjoyed my experience at Colours. I felt my consultation was very thoughrough. I could tell that my stylist was really listening to my needs for my haircut. The haircut looked phenominal, but I was worried that perhaps I may not be able to re-create this style at home. My stylist took the time to teach me how to style it myself. I appreciated her attention to detail. It has now been 2 weeks, and I am still loving this cut. I also like that they give free fringe trims in between haircuts. One good thing is that the stylist had a great personality--\r but she didn't listen to what I wanted. So frustrating...I left the salon with a 200 fee\r for highlights and a cut--without being satisfied. Not a good place to go without knowing for sure that your stylist is really good from some one whose been there.\r \r I was disappointed with the highlights and the cut :( more

I recently moved to Boulder and went to Paul Morrison Colours salon on 15th St for a cut since I had been buying my products there since moving here. I had my hair cut there and my stylist who was really nice told me to let her know how I liked it. It was the end of the day when I got home so I decided to play around with my hair the next day to see how I liked it since it was the first time I had a lot of layers cut into my hair and she had left the front layers longer which I didn't realize until I got home. After giving it a day I decided to go about an inch shorter. I called and told them I had just been there a day ago and they said that was fine and that my stylist was open today and to come down. After driving all the way there and finally finding parking I sit down in the chair and tell her that I didn't like how the front was working and that I decided on getting my bangs cut. I asked her what she thought about going a little shorter and she said that it was a good idea. I fe more

Good selection of products, which should have been an indicator of the price - Kerastase, Bumble & Bumble, Shu Umera hair, etc. Nice enough salon, good lighting, nice layout. Each hair station had a drink menu that included teas, water, and red wine - but none was ever offered. Friendly receptionist in person, rather short on the phone. They do make reminder calls two days before, which is nice if you need to cancel. But $215 for a cut & color? Not worth it. Pros: Reminder call, layout, product selection. Cons: Parking, no walk-ins, not offered drink, TOO EXPENSIVE! more
