Silvio is a great host and sets the warm and inviting tone. The food is good, the coffee is hot, and it's fun to hang out there, especially at breakfast time. If you want to make ...

Year After Year - Still The Same (Thumbs Up!) 11/18/2006

Once a year I go to Patrick and I love it! I get more than enough servings which I can never finish. The service is great, food is awesome. Look forward to Santa Monica Beach & Patrick's in 2007. Pros: Great Food Cons: Small Dining Area more

Long time favorite 9/30/2006

I have never been to place that has better food and great people than Patrick's. I've been going there for many years and it seems to taste better everytime. I recommend trying their omeletts for breakfast and their famous melts for lunch. Be careful on trying the granola with mixed fresh fuit and yogurt because it is highly addicting and I haven't been able to find another restaurant that can make it the same. Pros: always great service and the management takes care of their customers more

For a great breakfast, you cannot top Patrick's! 1/4/2006

If industry establishments where cell phones and personal assistants are your cup of tea, Patrick's is not for you. Patrick's is the kind of place where locals, famous and infamous, come to get out of the limelight, breathe in the fresh ocean air, and enjoy the best damn pie on the West Coast! A favorite for many loyal fans, including the late, reclusive Johnny Carson (who used to swing by from his office for pie), Patrick's was lovingly decorated by it's founder Bill Fischler, who named the Roadhouse after his son. Bill passed on a few years ago, but his spirit lives on in one of the best places to get an omelette anywhere. If you are used to your server being at your table every bite of your meal, Patrick's will make you mad, but you'll realize that's a good thing as it filters out lots of unsavory types. Pros: Great food, Great vibe, Fun location Cons: Crappy arking, Closes early more

Sea Side Roadhouse with excellent food 7/30/2005

I Love to have breakfast at Patrick's Roadhouse. It has the charm of an English tavern in the country side, yet right off PCH in the Santa Monica Canyon. ALL the food is excellent, my favorite is the mozerella omlette with sun dried tomatoes, bazil (add the avacado) Coffee is served fast, strong, and hot....and the pototoes are just right with nice chuncks grilled but not greasy. There is indoor and a small outdoor seating area. The whole place is unique and quaint with a warm eclectric ambience....and always service with a smile.... Pros: bright and airy, great food, great service Cons: park on the street, $2 valet is a deal, not open 24/7 more

BEST BREAKFAST AND LUNCH 7/15/2005

Best Burger and fries in town!!! I go there once a week with my son and husband and we LOVE the Mango salad with Fresh Salmon. My son is crazy about the pancakes. Service is friendly and personal, they even have Vallet Parking on weekends. If you go often enough, chances are that you'll see some celebrities. Pros: Great atmosphere, Next to Beach, Great Food more

Awesome 2/12/2005

The staff is very friendly and the food is delicious- banana-chocholate chip pancakes and the tuna fish are outta this world. You should check out my painting of Patrick's- hopefully it wasn't destroyed in the fire. Pros: hearty portions, friendly staff, eclectic decor Cons: a little pricy, can get crowded more

Bring your own coffee... 1/17/2005

I have never had so much trouble getting a refill on coffee in my life. The food is good, the fresh OJ is delicious, the location is great, and the atmosphere is very charming. It's a fun place in this day and age of franchises where nothing is unique or original. But I swear I asked for coffee at least 7 times and never got a second cup - and it was NOT busy. In fact, it was our table of 5 and just one other table (with 1 academy award winner present). I don't know what to say. I got the bill with no problem, but a second cup of coffee is apparently out of the question. The service was just awful. Pros: Good OJ, the beach, celebrity sightings Cons: , could die of thirst, poor service more

Good Breakfast Spot 10/24/2004

I am from Austin, TX and the first thing I do upon arriving to Los Angeles is breakfast at Patrick's. The food is delicious and well priced and the atmosphere is unbeatable. Parking is limited, but it has never really posed a problem for me as I usually go around mid-morning. Definite recommend. Pros: Great food, Great atmosphere, Well priced more

Best Omelet Ever! 8/15/2004

Patrick's was great. The off-the-beaten trail vibe is key to a low-key relaxing dining experience. I ordered a ham, cheddar, avocado omelet with cottage cheese and tomatos and it was the most delicious omelet ever. While they claim this is a restuarant to go to to see stars ( I did see the Arnold table..) there is equally good reason to go for an omelet. It was amazing. I've had dreams of this omelet and plan on making a habit out of this place. Everyone go and enjoy! more

never again 7/6/2004

I went with a friend of mine for an early lunch on a Monday and it was not at all crowded. But for some reason service was rather slow. My friend asked for sauce when she got her food and didn't recieve it until she was practically dont with her food. Then it took forever to get the check in the end we wind up having to go up to the front and ask for it. THEN when we get into the car to leave some guy pops out of no where demanding $2 b/c that parking lot is Chevrons and its been turned into as ""All day beach parking for $6"" and he was cutting us a deal b/c we were leaving. So the restaurant really only has like 3 actual parking spaces. The whole ordeal was ridiculous and not worth the trouble. At least the food was good. Pros: atmosphere, delicious fries Cons: , moderately expensive more
