Wrong address! 6720, not 6320 SF Blvd ! 12/21/2008

I owe my discovery of this place to citysearch since it was on a Saturday AM when I felt particularly tired of the regular breakfast joints that I came here in search of something new. However, that Sat I never found the restaurant because the address listed here is wrong ! 6720 is the right address. I corrected that on Sunday AM, after verifying with Street View in Google Maps.\r Once found, I did enjoy the food and the retro architecture of the bldg. First time out I had the blackberry pancakes with eggs and ham. Next time out was just a standard eggs and sausage plate. Honestly the food was not extraordinary in any way, but I've returned twice and would go back again. (Don't let this ridiculous ""star rating"" system fool you - 3 stars is a positive review).\r I've heard some complaints about the service. First time I waited about 25 minutes for the pancake plate. That did feel long. Second time, my wife and I waited only about 5-10 minutes for our food and the place appeared to be just as busy. As previously mentioned, you order food at the counter and it is brought to your table. I only find that awkward when it comes to tipping. Do you tip at the counter or the table? Otherwise, I actually like it more than waiting for a waiter to appear and take an order. But apparently it makes some people grumpy because I observed one gentleman making a fuss over it: ""This doesn't make any sense! Does anyone work here?"" he grumbled and grunted. Especially for breakfast service, I really don't mind this format. I might consider going back during other times of day (ie for dinner), but I understand the hours are quite limited ( I think it closes at 4pm on Sundays).\r Recommended if you can handle the lack of waiters to take your order. \r It's a diner, so the food is not going to change your life, but it's not greasy or stale or bland, which makes it miles better than Denny's, IHOP or any of those other breakfast factories. Pros: Blackberry pancakes, situated in a refurb'd old diner, across from a similarly old motel Cons: i have yet to really have a bad experience, so cons=0. more

wonderful 4/18/2008

I've been going to patrick's prior to this new location when it was off of Sonora. I loved it then (when all they had was sandwiches) and I love it now. My future wife and I go there on sunday mornings and my buddies have breakfast there on many occasions. \r \r The food is great (be careful on the pastries.. some are not as fresh as you think). But the menu is great and the food is fantastic. \r \r I hate to write a great review for this place.. as I don't want it to be too crowded in the future and get turned away. ;-) Pros: good food, great atmosphere, love the music Cons: the pastries aren't always as fresh as you think. Sometimes the wait staff forget drinks. more

breakfast! 9/22/2007

I had been wanting to come for the longest time! But when I would decided to come it was closed. I could never get the hours straight. It opens at 7:30 am and closes at 4:00pm. I had beakfast and it was so good! You order first ,...then they take the food to you. They have pastrey out and you want just about all of it! The service is great! Everyone was friendly and they made me feel very comfortable. I ordered the breakfast soufle and loved it. I will be visiting again and soon to try lunch! Pros: Everything Cons: no dinner more

great place to eat 3/10/2007

make sure you try Patricks in Glendale! I drove past it a couple of times before trying and wish I would have noticed it earlier. They have very good food and just enough diversity on the menu. (You must try their macaroni and cheese!)\r \r Friendly, calm atmosphere and casual with an 'upmarket' feel. Not a fast-food place.\r \r If you try it; you'll be back! Pros: good food Cons: no liquor more

Great value, great prices, great food 10/29/2006

If you are in the area stop by Patrick's for lunch. They have a wonderful BBQ chicken sandwich and a ""Patty's Fatty"" (I substitue tuna for the turkey) with a load of wonderful things on it. With their own pickles & chips. YUM! \r \r Service is great and pickups are always easy. more

Great Place for Lunch 4/6/2006

Awesome food. Great service. The sandwiches taste homemade and they are super filling. Much better than any Subway or Quizno's. They can make any kind of sandwich you want. You can even order ahead and pick it up. The service is great and friendly. They remembered my name after only two visits. more

Elegant and comfortable 8/19/2005

Located on the edge of where residential meets industrial, Patrick's is a surprising and delightful find. The owner always welcomes customers with a smile, and the service is consistently reliable. The sandwiches are large - the salads always fresh and colorful. They have a busy lunchtime crowd from local businesses and studios, but it's also a great place to hang out and study for as many hours as you'd like. They have just rearranged the outside seating area so now if someone is smoking, it doesn't bother as much. I highly recommend Patrick's! Pros: Good parking, Good coffee, Good food more
